Wow, great experiment.... May i suggest something? For the bottle cap, maybe it will be better using a tubeless tire valve. No need to drill and put a liquid sealer....

Surprise! You are using a vacuum meter calibrated " inch of Mercury"!. Is a very old measuring unit , here in Italy , we use mm or micron of mercury or psi negatives. May I suggest to put in a dreier filter on the suction line, near the compressor body, because the electric winding of motor is faible to umidity. Congrats for video. By. Henry.

Do theses compressors need a run capacitor because I have on using a pump for my air lift pump but it's getting hot tripping the overload

Depends on the motor type. Most of them don't. They only have the starting unit called clixon. But some motors can use a capacitor. You should check the datasheet for the particular motor type you have.

У меня имеется проблема. Когда компресор был установлен на холодильнике, он работал, но после извлечения перестал. Из реле выходит 2 кабеля. Первый на розетку и второй шёл в камеру морозилки, после извлечения был отрезан. Оба имеют толстую оплётку. Во втором кабеле 4 провода, 2 из которых дают 220 вольт при подаче на тока на первый кабель. Что можно сделать, что бы компрессор начал запускаться? I have a problem. When the compressor was installed on the refrigerator, it worked, but after removing it, it stopped. 2 cables come out of the relay. The first one went to the outlet and the second one went to the freezer chamber, after extraction it was cut off. Both have a thick braid. The second cable has 4 wires, 2 of which give 220 volts when the current is applied to the first cable. What can I do to start the compressor? P. s Sorry for the crooked translation

I sware... I must be the only poor bastard in the entire world trying to do this with a compressor that has 4... YES FOUR FRICKEN PIPES! (5 if you count the freon pipe.) This is not helping my covid depression at all > SMH.
