Damn you did a good job building this thing, simple but effective. Thanks for posting the vids it's exactly what I was looking for to drill test holes on my mining claim. How did the bit hold up to large rocks?

I see a lot of nice home made drills on KZfaq but I haven't seen any of the actually drill the ground

I saw a nice series where a guy made a hand drill with PVC that he added 5' at a time. He even had a nice mud cross to flow out his cuttings and reuse the water. This right here is next level. I wish I had this rig! Very nice build!
