It’s killing me that you are letting it fall on the floor! My floors aren’t as clean as yours, apparently!! I would put a bin to catch it. But I love it!! Thanks for the video!

JMMJ, you think your carding will work with Flax? please let me know! if yes I am interested to buy one thank you, so much. Ps, maybe a small tray under will collect all the dirt from the wool.

Anyone know how the machines used to do this in commercial wool mills work? I've look as various KZfaq videos, but none of them show the inside of the machine. Can some kind of machine using circular motion be used to pick wool so it can be powered either by a hand crank or a stationary bike or general purpose motor?

@@jdshenanigans9265 O, nice. Do you planning to make video about your creativity? Not many people can do homemade wool/fiber picker today. It's a talent. Thank you for your response.

@@jdshenanigans9265 Got you. How do you solve the problem with a bit different nail pattern for alpaca/llamas hair? What if you will get Suri fiber, long and curly? Have you took that nuance to consideration? But anyway, wish you Luck and be waiting for your final project. Stay safe and Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Very nice... id love instructions on building my own. Everything related to spinning is sooooo overly expensive! If you could pass the build plans along, i would be grateful!

HI, it is better to introduce the wool below the board to avoid injury .

How do you clean out the picker without getting hurt?
@6bettyboo95 жыл бұрын
you dont have to clean it out . the vegetable matter just falls out of the bottom.

Alot of pickers, boxes and swings, people use a hand held garden claw or something along those lines. It has longer tines to get all the fiber out without getting stuck.
