Working with a wood I always needed heavy-duty clamps.
So I decided to make them and the process of manufacturing is shown in this video. I made eight of them. All materials for this project I found at home, I only had to buy the threaded screws with a nuts.
I am happy with the outcome.
Thanks for watching!

😊👍 I like the idea of using channel instead of Tee, as it will be more stable in use and almost impossible to tip over when loading with wood. Allso the increased metal cross section makes it less distortable. Very good neat work. 😊 10 points!😊 .

Brilliant job and clamps, you used an angle grinder with a guard and you weld a proper bead, then shielded to the welding. This is a great example how to do diy tools properly and film the making of it.

The only issue I had was that he seemed to be too eager to grind down welds, and that weakens them. That's just a pet peeve of mine from my decades of welding experience - never grind unless it must be done for the operation of what you're making.

@MaryAnnNytowl

Not that long. The longest part would be waiting for the primer and paint to dry, LOL! The sanding and grinding would be the next longest part. If you have a chop saw designed to cut metal (like this guy's miter saw, but for metal), though, the cutting is really quick. Welding is super quick, too. The longest part of that is cleaning off the slag and any spatter afterwards.

i'm pretty sure you're aware, but your computer screen is not capable of being bright enough to give you welders flash. the brightest it will be is the same as a white screen. it was nice to be able to see what he would see through his welders mask though, rather than just a white blob, that's likely what you meant anyways.

Very good reuse of existing stuff. Always better to reuse than buy new! A few things: Only grind down what is absolutely necessary to remove on your welds. It weakens them. If you drill the holes in the clamp ends before you weld those nuts on, you wouldn't have to cut new threads into them.
