Күн бұрынWe have decided to go with Year 4 and Year 2 for our girls with Ambleside online which means more books! Lots of rich literature this year! I will still be modifying a few elements and incorporating guides from Simply Charlotte Mason's enrichment studies which we love! Lots to share!

I was thinking of doing year 2 and year 4 as well with AO. I'm still up in the air of what I'm going to do. I originally planned on using Build you Library Level 2, but then something is telling me to check out or use AO this year. So, I'm not sure how I'm going to go forward. Glad to hear other mommas talk about AO. Not too many videos out there for AO.

We’re doing AO for the first time this year with the same years, Y4 and Y2! As for Plutarch, I’m subbing Mrs beesleys for it bc I was way too intimidated! Ha! The bookmarks are fantastic! We printed them in fun colored card stock!

I'm also doing year 2 Ambleside this year with my 9 yr old and 8 yr old. I also have a 6 yr old starting year 1.

I have heard it is best to do Shakespeare and Plutarch as read-alouds even through high school. Delectable Education has some good episodes about Plutarch.

We'll have a Y2 and Y4 as well - this is will be our second full year of doing primarily AO. A warning with Trial and Triumph - there were a few we either skipped or I edited a but because my girls can be pretty sensitive about death. Also, we're starting Plutarch this year as well, but were going with Publicola because it's considered the Plutarch "primer." I ended up using Amazon no-rush rewards to get the Kindle version. It's not my favorite format, but it helps with the budget!

Hello! I was wondering what you are using for Bible since switching to completely ambleside online? 🤍

Actually we follow our church's reading through the Bible guide! We read the old testament as a family, it only takes about 15-20 minutes and the girls read the new testament on their own :)

So did you completely switch over to AO or will you still use Mystery of History?

I switched!! I was trying to make it work but it was going to be tricky to line up the literature reading with it and I think I was giving myself undue stress. But I love Mystery History so if AO doesn't fit we'll go back and I would still recommend it!
