I am using All About Reading level one with my kindergartener who has speech difficulty and it has made a huge difference. We are taking our good ole time with it. We are just about halfway and have been using it since September. It’s worth every penny and as a new homeschool mom it’s held my hand this year.

Thank you for sharing this. We've been using All About Reading for a little over a year. Has went so well, but since starting level 3, my daughter has been struggling a bit. So think we'll take a little break, try The Good & The Beautiful & Explode the Code. I have actually seen a few people use AAR & TGTB together.

Hi! My daughter did AAR level 1 last year for kindergarten and we are almost done with level 2 this year in First. But she’s just not enjoying it anymore. So I am supplementing with explode the code & got TGTB booster cards & readers (not the workbook) and this is going great so far. She just hates the practice sheets from AAR 😅 I have been down the rabbit hole for months now lol. Finally decided on Learning Language Arts through Literature grade 2 + supplementing TGTB booster C cards w/ Readers for 2nd grade hopefully this works ✨

I needed this today! My daughter will be in first grade. We are doing hooked on phonics, but she doesn’t move it. We are finishing up TGTB K- and she is hating it. At this point she won’t be on level one for a little while. I even went back and started over with hooked on phonics, but she dreads it.

I'm not sure if I missed it, but when talking about TGTB you said "even though we already have an amazing LA curriculum". Which one were you using prior to TGTB?

We use BJU Press English 🙂 We love it. I was using TGTB as a supplement with my daughter.
