One of the beautiful things about homeschooling is how you can reach your child where they are at. Maybe your child needs extra time to complete an activity. Perhaps they just need to move a lot while learning. Or they might be gifted and need a place to excel at their own pace. So many valid reasons.
The main difference between gifted and talented, is that gifted primarily focuses on intellect, while talent is something that is often in one area, like music or sport.
“Gifted” is actually a loaded word. There are many definitions based on who you are talking to. Words that are often thrown about are bright, exceptional, or talented, but really they all have different nuances.
When you homeschool a gifted child you get to reach them where they are at. Isn’t this really what we want for all our children? But when we are homeschooling a gifted child, we can extend and challenge them as needed, moving on when skills are mastered to help limit frustration or boredom.

I am in the beginning journey of homeschooling my boy. My boy had a test with psychologist last year, he's 6 with IQ of 147. He has been extremely bored in public school, he is often the target for bullies. I felt this was the best route as we don't have many resources in our area for gifted children. love the information in this video! thank you!

Thank you so much for this video. I have a gifted little one and homeschooling has been a blessing but also very challenging. Finding a curriculum that is challenging and interesting has been an expensive and frustrating task. I love the content you are creating and I'm looking forward to seeing more videos for gifted children.

I'm so sorry that it's been a frustrating and expensive task.... But I hope that it doesn't take away from the blessing of homeschooling your little one. Thank you for your comments...and I will work on other videos for gifted kids ❤️

I am afraid that I don't know of any gifted homeschool fb groups. I usually just search for what I am looking for (like worldschooling for example) and join a few and leave the ones I don't like. Sorry I can't be more help.

I am still in the wondering if my child is gifted. His memory is excellent and he moves fast once something clicks. He gets restless and bored and is 100% a perfectionist and wants to be the best of the best. He gets mad if something isn’t perfect the first time he tries something new. He’s only 4.5 years old. Yet he also still is very much a 4.5 year old. Any curriculum you can recommend? He loves core knowledge but since it’s for classrooms it’s hard to navigate.
