I don’t thing your argument holds, considering there are different moves with more damage per energy, like Hydro Cannon and Leaf Blade, Body Slam and Sacred Sword. I can understand you see SS only in ultra league and it seems the damage is not as high as it could be in GL and only the Unova legendaries learn it, just like the water starters can only learn HC, but if you say BS it’s only a neutral move, besides being so annoying in Lickitung, Greedent and Vigoroth, I can say LB still does more damage. I can add Brutal Swing, X-Scissor, Surf, Icicle Spear and Drill Peck on the list of moves that make more damage per energy equal to 40 or less, so the problem is not the damage that MB does but the access the mudboys have to this move and that they are annoying with Mud Shot. That’s the reason of their prevalence, in GL at least. I don’t think they modify that move because it’s not as broken as other moves have been.

I don’t agree, compared to other moves, it honestly quite average. Not bad, but nothing crazy just a solid move
