Safety consideration for your saddle equipment... there should be a strap (or you can use a string) to attach from the girth to the back cinch. That is to keep it from sliding too far back and flanking your horse, which could end up being another reason to cause bucking. Also, for taking the horse out farther and only at a walk with the family, keep the halter on and have someone lead while the other is riding. That is a good way to ensure success as beginners and for the horse to get acclimated.

My two favorite parts were, “Be faithful with what you’ve been given,” and the poop bridge.
