One of the ways we establish that value is by our willingness to invest in our own development. Whether you aspire to artistry or industry, please make the commitment to become truly excellent at your craft. Don’t settle for anything less.
Key 5: Consider your brand.
In that kind of traffic, the product itself is not enough to convince a music listener with limited income to purchase your CD, much less to commit any degree of loyalty to your artistry.
In order to cut through the noise and clutter of the current marketplace, it is vital to develop your brand-a set of elements that identifies you and the reasons you are unique. If you aren’t thinking about and investing into those elements of your artistry, it will become increasingly difficult for you to establish and maintain an audience.
Essential homework in the digital age is to put some real thought and prayer time into branding. Who are you? What do your represent? What is your distinct message? Who are you called to reach?
