I remember back in 2003, the Homeworld 2 devs said this was something they always wanted to do, but could not because technology was limited at the time. I imagine the HW team was overjoyed they finally got the chance to try and make this terrain concept work.

can't believe they committed a cardinal sin of RTS games which is just nagging the player to do an objective so annoying when RTS game nag me
