Homey Logic, you’ve probably seen it, but have you dared touch it? Once you get the hang of it, it's a great tool for any smart home. By creating your own Variables and using these in your Flows you can often accomplish complex smart home automations in the blink of an eye.
We start off by covering the basics - Tags. There are 4 different Tags used in Homey, you've got; Numbers, Yes/No, Text & Images. These Tags are created by Homey, and other smart home devices, and can often be used in Flows. When looking to see if you can add a Tag to a Flow, keep an eye out for the Tag symbol that pops up.
Logic comes into play, when you want the freedom to create your own Tags, and these are called variables. Variables can be created in Homey Logic, and can then be used across your Flows in a huge variation of unique and useful ways. How detailed you become in the use of Logic is up to you, but as always I would recommend you give this a go in your Home with Homey!
