What you checked was precision, which means reproducing same results, which may not necessarily be the true result. What we need is accuracy too, which means giving a result closest to the true value, which could have been done by weighing a known weight. We need both accuracy and precision in weighing machine. Bdw, a great video. 👍

Thanks for your feedback! surely we will try to consider it in our next videos like best weighing scales 2022 and smart weighing scales. (but it was slightly difficult to check the accuracy of these machines as on lower weights up to 30kgs, almost all machines were accurate but at higher weights, they started showing different results. But surely we will try to show that test as well next time) Also, we would love to know if you would like us to make any other particular product testing video as well.

I have equinox that looks similar to healthgenie and have 2 machines and using since 10+ years. About the accuracy about this machine, these are not precision machines then why would one expect it to be in this budget? It would be close to real weight if used correctly, and for it to work you have to use it on a very flat surface. If you are not sure, fix its place and measure it every day without moving. Relative change will be more accurate than absolute one in any cases.

I think OMRON did better compared to other weighing machines, accuracy doesn't mean that showing same result again and again. I think other machines are displaying previous weight when new weight is similar or close, so that user thinks its accurate. Weight can vary by grams depending on our posture and all.

Good review. One suggestion is to check the weight of the two person alternatively ( turn by turn, person-1 then person-2 then person-1 then person-2). I bought a weight scale by Dr. Trust, although it showed the same reading when measured continuously but when measured as I have mentioned it gives different readings.

The model I bought had the fat analyser plus it was also rechargeable (I forgot the model name), I guess mine was defective product because I have seen some good reviews on the comments as well as on KZfaq. So, if you buy online choose those products which have the option of "Refund" or "Replacement". This way you can exchange if your it isn't working properly.

After watching your video i think hoffen is better. Well when the question is about accuracy then the value of double time checked should be nearly, not the same if it works accurately. As per science. I don't know how companies are doing it well perfect.

All these machines are not accurate. When you stand 1st time on it , it store that reading in memory and will show exact same number whenever you stand on it. It doesn't show minimum changes in weight. And If two person of approx same weight stand on it, it shows exact same number for both person.

No, there is no weighing scale available as per our knowledge which can measure both heavy and very light weights. As for measuring grams accuracy the machine sensors has to be made more sensitive and for heavy weight or human weight the sensors are made with different calibrations.

wrong tested for accuracy. the machine has memory so of course it will give you same result for same person. what u should do is person 1 and then person 2, and then person 1 second time, an then person 2 second time.

No, body weighing scale will not be very accurate for measuring food in grams. For that you need to use a kitchen scale.

These weighing scales are programmed to give same reading twice if both the readings are close to each other. I have personally used both healthsense and health genie scales. This doesn't prove that the scales have good repeatability. Not a huge fan of either and have seen difference in absolute values when measuring in different scales from different brands.

firstly, you measured precision not accuracy. Secondly, what makes you believe that the weighing brands might have not thought of it and try to round it off to the previous weight if a very similar weight (ie the same person) stands on it again to give it a false sense of accuracy.

If you don't know, actually our body weight can fluctuate till 2 kg, so to get your precise weight you have to actually weigh for a whole week and then take average. 😀
