Homily: God Is For Us, Not Against Us | Fr. Mathias Thelen

Жыл бұрынIn this homily given on Trinity Sunday at St Pat's on Sunday June 4, 2023, Fr. Mathias preaches on three reasons why we hesitate or struggle to believe that God is for us, not against us.
1) Sin distorts our view of God.
2) Unprocessed suffering
3) Not thanking God enough
Fr. Mathias walks through the inner dynamic of the heart on each of these points and shows us that when we approach God as one who is merciful, if we process our suffering with him to get his divine perspective and live in gratitude for everything he's given us, it'll be much easier to believe and accept that he's for us, not against us.

Just Working on Keeping A Good attitude at this point Father . When the church community has continually Given Me Suffering and trouble I got the right to deliberately miss Mass ; I think about the blessed sacrament . be careful of putting people's conscious in question with what You Say in the office You Have.

@@cararopp Thank You I know the Holy spirit communicates with Me intimately In My Thinking Revealing What is True about Jesus To build me up to life Just As Jesus Said in the gospel Of the paraclete or advocate would happen " The Helper " I am a confirmed Catholic

@@jeradjones9306 my most difficult battle is within myself. Choosing to accept the gift of salvation even when my mind says I don't deserve it. Challenging to fully submit to His grace and mercy.... I truly get it. Truly.
