This is the modus operandi. Every single day I am being bullied by homophobes as they dogpile on my posts, harass me, insult me, talk over me, claim they're going to take our rights away, posting photos of woodchippers and calling us the P word. They sub to each other, their posts get hundreds of likes, their accounts grow. It's what they do. They profit off of hate. As they claim "nobody is against you and you've never been oppressed or attacked", they simultaneously paradoxically claim "everyone is sick of you and your time is nearing its end". The very definition of bullying, projection, and oppression.

When I was in highschool I was bullied all 4 years by this one guy for being gay. I’m 22 now and well long story short he was closeted and is now openly gay (go figure right) he still bully’s me but instead of him going about his business after saying mean things to me, now he bends me over and has his way with me. Sometimes having a bully pays off.

Your story is a rare one. Sadly, after school, the bullies will frequently be the ones who thrive because capitalism and social media are a popularity contest. Many kids who are abused by their peers will develop complex trauma from living in fear on a daily basis at school all day, and find it difficult to concentrate on school work. Those who are bullied will more often than not, become ostracized by others who do not want to share in the treatment they suffer; they will then lack a social network to thrive or build healthy lasting relationships or a career after graduation.

seems weird to me gay kids need special classes in 2021 when they didn't need them in the 80s where is this girl growing up? Don't remember the gay kids being picked on any more than anyone else in the small southern town I grew up in in the 80s, In fact on average they tended to be popular also, why is it bad to consider anyone being bullied as equally worthy of a special class if we are deciding anyone being bullied needs one... seems like bullying is bullying its no more hurtful because its about sexual preferences

@@randyrogers8201 I do think it is hard compare schools directly between each other based on who gets bullied and who won’t. I would hope that all schools act on their situation. So that if there is a group that is being targeted they act to protect that group and to get all to show them compassion rather the hate. I don’t know what group was especially targeted for bullies at my school. I lived very much in my own bubble and with my perspective and mine alone. It’s hard to tell what others perceive and feel in their life, especially when you are a kid. So I think it is great that the schools are trying to help broaden the perspective of the kids so that they learn to be more attuned to what others might feel. Sadly it has not worked as intended, and I hope they can listen the kids and work towards a solution to stop the bullying.

Yeah. In my case, it was both my parents and the kids at school who abused me with bullying. I couldn’t find a happy place anywhere. In the case of this woman, most people she knows probably recognize how unstable she is and they just don’t say anything to her about it.

My father thought being gay was a choice. He wouldn't listen to me or the professionals he sent me to. He terrorized me growing up and was extremely abusive. He made my life a living hell. When he passed away he purposely left me "absolutely nothing" Those were his exact words in the will. My brother got millions and he he knew about it and never said a word to me.

I’m 33 years old and I remember hearing conservative parents complain about schools indoctrinating student as far back as when I was in middle school in 2002 and it’s not true. High Schools and Colleges teach students to think critically and Conservative parents don’t like it because they don’t want their children questioning them. I am 64, and I can’t ignore the fact that our country is regressing to the point where I am terrified over what the future may hold for by children & grandchildren. When the fully indoctrinated lunatics feel completely comfortable verbally attacking a child in public, during a formal meeting, we have a serious problem. Had I been in that audience I’m afraid I would have ended up in jail, because I just wouldn’t tolerate such ignorant verbal abuse of a minor. It doesn’t take a genius to understand who embraced this type of outrageous behavior and is responsible for its escalation! While he may be gone (hopefully for good), we are no forced to contend with his dIsgusting supporters! God help us!

@@Josie-6 But since the early 1900’s, this country has taken some tremendous steps towards insuring equality and fairness and legislated regulations to insure those rights. But since the 80’s, many of those protective regulations have been overturned by the Republican Party, and it’s only been in the last 10 years that we’ve seen this movement to “go back to the good ole days when men were in control, women were subservient and minorities were considered 2nd class citizens.” And everything the 60’s generation fought so hard for is being torn apart. And never before have Americans had elected officials who are bought and paid for by big business and who put the needs of their donors before the needs of their constituents. Not to mention the complete elimination of that line that separates church & state. It is only in the last 2 decades that this completely erroneous belief that this country was created to be a Christian nation has been embraced and propagandized. So while we have been through rough times in the past, we’ve never experienced the absolute destruction of everything our country stands for. Sorry for the lecture; can you tell I’m a history professor?
