Honda Front Passenger Door Lock Actuator/Door Latch Assembly Replacement 2008-2012 Accord. In this video I show how to replace a front passenger (front right) door latch assembly on a Honda Accord. The door lock actuator, which is part of the door latch assembly, was bad and was making a "buzzing" sound which is why it was replaced. The exact vehicle in this video is a 2012 Honda Accord 2.4L SE Sedan. 2008-2012 Accords should be similar.

----------------- UPDATE -------------------------------------- Completed this job yesterday. Just having the knowledge of the step-by-step on how to do this job was a huge help. Replacement went without a hitch. I did take a minor shortcut in not pulling the rubber from the window track. Once the bolt was out, I pulled the metal track down just enough to swing it up and out of the way. Appreciate the detailed demonstration! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Top notch DIY video! Great step-by-step, with (much appreciated) details on what to do/not do for a successful installation. I typically wrench on motorcycles and do some cars stuff, but wasn't too sure about this job. We have a 2010 the needs this done and now I feel very confident that I can do this myself. Part on order. Thanks so much!

Great video sir, thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge. Still deciding whether this job is worth the undertaking on my son's 2010 Accord. You make it look easy, but I'm sure I'd be the guy that busts half the stuff taking it apart!

Do it...I did the driver's side and if I can do it anyone can... Saves a bundle... and the two back door ones have died and the passenger one is ready to go too... I'm gonna give it a shot... if I screw it up at least I tried... This video is the best...

Thanks Big Dog. My 2003 Accord Coup needed actuator replacement. I took apart a failed actuator and the motor brushes were mush. I would've thought that a few more pennies on quality brush material would solve this issue. On my wife's 2018 Honda I shut off the automatic locking feature to save those brushes.

Great video... did my driver's side and ready to tackle the other 3 doors...rear doors are out... Where can you get the foam padding you transfer from the old to the now actuator?... mine is trashed... Is there a substitute I could use? Keep up these great videos...

Update: Vice grips always seem to help and I was able to get enough latch on the top to loosen.

Should be similar to a video I posted today on an Accord right rear door lock actuator replacement. I believe the window run channel is in the way on some of those Civic models and may need to be moved out of the way. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/heBiodqop6uRlY0.html

I have a 2010 Honda Accord I cannot get the key to fit into the lock the spare key as well as the automatic or key fob neither will fit totally in front driver side do you have a video for this situation thanks by the way the video that I am viewing let me know one thing that I will take car to a competent mechanic

It can be done but,... wouldn't it be a lot easier to just buy the entire door have it installed by a trusted mechanic or the dealership? How much can a car door set you back? 4 or 5 hundred bucks?
