@@colin55594 Accord coupe is 3400 pounds. Add in additional SHAWD components about 2-300 pounds. That's about the same or less than a 335i with and without xdrive (3700/3500). Your car is not exactly lightweight either lol.

Agreed, I think that if Acura made a v6 coupe with SH-AWD and a manual it would have been amazing, I am honestly surprised that they haven't put a coupe into their lineup given that Acura is supposed to be the "sporty" version of Honda. Now that every manufacturer is going turbo its very unlikely that we will ever see another NA J series produced by Acura/Honda. I think the closest thing that Acura has made to the 6-6 accord is probably the 4G TL, it came with SH-AWD and a manual version with just a little 300hp (Crank), only downside was that it was a sedan and not a coupe.

@@colin55594 We're talking about two different cars here, an accord coupe vs. a big TLX sedan. TLX 2.0t awd is 4000 lbs, the Type S is 4300 pounds. The 300 pound difference is accounted for in the v6 turbo and AWD components. The size of the new TLX is about the same as the 5-series, but yeah new model BMW's are lighter weight than past generations. Honda/Acura is behind with the use of lightweight materials.

Same, i don't think its worth it adding more power to fwd. My tires spin wayy too much for me to want more, and that's just on small things like a tune.

@@lastdays. ive actually considered that, but they recommend tuning to 250-280hp for the cvt and honestly dont think its worth it, but thanks

@@lastdays. he has a CVT tho That i4 is actually easier to boost than the v6 the problem is he doesn't have the MT J series are pretty "hard" to turbo you need a whole custom fabbed manufold

@@MarkIV_Garage you need custom fabrication regardless. fitment for the i4 is the same regardless of transmission, every k24w1 has the same integrated exhaust manifold. So every J35Y and K24W needs custom fabrication for turbos. The only diff on a cvt is you can’t turn the boost up as high, and MT would require a clutchmasters upgrade anyway

@@lastdays. you don't need custom for the i4, people already make & sell turbo manifolds for it. But as far as I know the only people who were selling j series turbo manifolds no longer do. Also packaging on the j35 is a lot tighter, neither one is "easy" to boost but the i4 is easier for sure. It's hard to even find PCDs for j35 now which u also need for a boosted build everybody axed them and started only selling HFPCs

What exactly do I need to make that power. I want to make 400-450hp. For sure the precision turbo. But what else ? And also do I need a new transmission or modifications or can I keep it stock ? I am really interested in making this happen. Also who can tune my car for me I live in Los Angeles California. I am a Honda enthusiast and owned a 2010 accord v6 which I rebuilt myself at 17 because it was burning oil smh. Anyways I bought this 2017 because I love the car. Hence my interest in knowing this info, I would appreciate the guidance.
