I traded my 2016 Africa Twin DCT for something new as the DCT didn't do it for me. Consider how you ride before you buy a DCT, it nay not be for you.

I'm sure the DCT is pretty sweet, but I too would opt for the manual. I love the symphony of all 4 of my appendages working in unison to command the bike to do my bidding.

They sure try to push the DCT .. I tried one, it was never in the right gear and shifted all wrong at the wrong times.. I bought the standard and never looked back..great motorcycles.. great video, thank you... and your roads there are really bad it seems.

Thanks for watching…. Yep the roads here get flooded pretty quick especially this time of year. Still, makes for more fun! ( sometimes)

I have the dct. I tried the manual but found the clutch very hard and stiff. I tried the ktm 1290 and the clutch was as light as a feather! I think Honda did this on purpose to sell more dct!? I really like the dct, it's sweet! I wanted to go off roading and didn't want to stall and fall! However, I now don't want to take her off road as too heavy and I lack the skills! I miss blipping on the downshift! I may consider changing her for a manual, if the clutch was lighter!

Exactly the same thought process as me plus I dropped it at low speed as I couldn’t control the clutch…have you looked at the Honda off road experience… they give you an Africa twin and teach you how to off road it! Dave Thorpe Honda, I think it’s called.. thanks for watching!👍

@@lifeintheshadylane he is near Brompton Ralph. Only about a 90min drive for me. It's something I will do! Different bikes and routes to try! Very good reviews!

So much water! I suppose this was filmed after those crazy monsoons we've had recently. Bet that u-turn in front of that flood felt better on a manual :)

I might be a karen..cuz I feel bikes with DCTs and ATs are maxies..and I don't understand who the hell asked for it..it just fails to make sense for me..

had the same feeling and did not go for a dct after a test ride ,now i,m up to get a quickshifter (cordona) since the crf1000 manuel 2018+ models are prepared for a Qs from factory .

Hi, soon 2019 non dct are quick shift ready? Is it easy to do/fit..?
