The island got its name from the vernacular words: 'lulubog' and 'lilitaw,’ which means to submerge and emerge, respectively. During high tide, the tiny island submerges, and during low tide, it appears. Luli Island has three beautiful sandbars perfect for strolling and for taking amazing photos.
