Kev goes back to the future (or is that back to the past), with a ride on Honda's new release, the retro cool CB1100. It looks like it comes from the 'good ol' days' but has all the manners of a modern machine...

I have recently bought one of these bikes, and i love it, it is so easy to ride, and so smooth. It suits me fine at 74 years of age.

I love my2013 cb1100. I’m 74 years old and drooled in the 70’s over the cb750

Love my CB build 2013. Has ridden more than 71.000km with it without any problem besides riding to other bikes. The CB is very reliable, has enough power and looks very good. Honda put it out of the market in Germany. Customers don't understand the CB. So what, have one and it will last long and longer. Enjoy each ride over 8 years with the CB.

I saw one of these in person in a parking lot--luckily the owner was there so I got to talk to him--I must say this bike is a LOT more impressive looking in person than in pictures. He started it and I was quite amazed at how smooth and mechanically quiet the engine was. Put a fairing and saddlebags on this thing--AND--here's a wild idea--cog belt drive, and you'd have one hellova touring machine.

One of the best bikes out there, Bulletproof Honda technology, plenty of power, smooth, perfect for city riding or long trips to the outback, Honda nailed it again👏👏👏

Perfekt for City Riding ? This Bike is very heavy !

There's a surprising number of negative comments? Personally, I think it's a gem. Seems to be the same idea as the sadly departed Ducati 1100 of a few years ago. I'm an architect and I particularly appreciate things that we'll designed, and this is a modern classic of industrial design that has all the benefits of modern technology. Kev mate - the cam adjuster between cylinder heads 2 and 3???? You're such a perfectionist 😃

After 2 years with this bike I have to say that your review is right on the money. I've found this bike to be a wonderful riding experience. It is certainly bigger and feels heavier than my Bonneville t100, or CTX700, but lighter and easier in the city than my F6b. If you like the look of this bike, them I am sure that you will like the ride as well.

I have an EX and I'm not 65+ years old (under 30 actually) and this bike is so misunderstood by people trying to stuff into a box. Just ride it and you'll see why we're all crazy about the CB1100!

Very cool looking bike, a nice change from the sport class.

I have one. This bike is exceptional in every way. Furthermore, it has very little competition...perhaps the Triumph Bonneville line and maybe a Moto Guzzi...Bottom line the CB is vastly superior to those in almost every way. If you are shopping for this style of motorcycle. Look no further.

Rich Vogel I am being offered a 2013 cb1100 with only 18500 km on the clock.... The bike really appeals to me so my question is are you still happy with it ? Any issues, how many miles/ km have you by now ?

I own this bike and I love it, so easy to handle, nice light weight, great on gas, classic look, I’ll never sell it, never. I also own a 2022 Fat Boy, I like flipping back and forth. Life is good on my Honda and Harley.

I owned 3 different CB750's , way back in the late 60'- early 70's. Honda USA did a remake of the 750 last year also.They were very cool and desirable bikes back them. I, for one, do not like old-retro styles....that's just my opinion. At least they didn't put spoke wheels on these.

@MrSlowestD169 жыл бұрын
Did you have any problems with it touching hard parts? MCN complained about that, but they were pushing it with the duke and a few others through Mulholland twisties. I rode the 2013, and aside from the 6th gear there's not a whole lot of difference, but I definitely need to throw a leg over one of these again. Too bad Honda doesn't have a demo program, getting a test drive on this thing is a ROYAL pain in the ass in the states. Every dealership wants to do that BS "buy first" then return it in < 10 miles if you're not happy with it - utter shit.

can this bike handle Aussie summers with the air cooling?
@robertbrandywine8 жыл бұрын
It also has oil cooling. Bikes with this type of cooling have been on the roads in some of the hottest places on earth with no problems.
@wolfgangwind7883 жыл бұрын
wich Oil Viscosity used in Hot Places like Australia etc. ? ? ? In Europe ( Germany ) it is 10 w 30 prefered by Honda ,but its difficult to buy for Motorbikes , so the most Biker / Garage,s used 10 w 40

Why buy a heavy underpowered bike?
@karlvandervelden33738 жыл бұрын
That might sound like a reasonable question, but try to see it from a different way. If you need modern superbike power and performance in order to enjoy riding at all, then you're right -- you shouldn't buy this bike. Personally, I've grown to love my 2014 CB1100 DLX, and I may never let it go. We all ride for different reasons; I love touring the backroads and only occasionally pushing it a bit just to see what I can manage. If you ever get a chance to ride one, you should try it out...it really doesn't feel underpowered.
