The CB125R is Honda’s latest venture into the hugely competitive sports naked 125 class and is aimed squarely at new riders who are looking for their first biking thrill.
Replacing the now outgoing fully-faired CBR125R, the upright CB adds a level of sophistication to the genre, offering big-bike looks and components alongside a claimed lightest weight in its class and a near 300-mile tank range. Read more here: www.motorcyclenews.com/news/f...

I have one of these and I use it for commuting across Norfolk every day. I have racked up 1500 miles on it. It's a very very good bike. It doesn't feel like a small bike more like an under powered big bike. It handles amazingly well thanks to the posh suspension and big tyres and the brakes are amazing. Super 125!

That looks really stylish. Huge improvement. But 125s aren’t exclusively learner bikes, just as hatchbacks aren’t just for learner drivers. Really wish the motorcycle industry would change with the times but they’re solidly stuck in their ways.

Agreed, I've been riding since '85 and I jumped at the chance to own the '14 CBR125 when Honda discontinued them here in Canada. At $1999 cdn. and 110 mpg....it was almost cheaper to operate around town than a bicycle. I would still be riding it if I hadn't come across an incredible deal on a CRF250L. In the 3 years that I owned it I had many riders comment on how they'd love to have one as a second bike for around town. It was great fun and practical.

650cc bikes are becoming budget bikes and you want them to make the 125's higher quality? I wouldn't hold my breath. People keep buying used, and manufacturers keep trying to make profit, the result? Chinese made Japanese bikes with basic parts.

I have an easy solution to your problem with its gearbox: Stop pulling the clutch for a second and it will let you switch into first gear. I know this, because my Driving schools cbr125r had the same problem. Same goes for the other gears. If for some reason the gearlever wont let itself be pushed down, just slightly let off the clutch lever and it will automatically jump into the lower gear. I hope this might help anyone reading this.

It is identical to their new CB300R which is slated to hit the North American market mid 2018 as a 2019 model. I saw and sat on it at a Motorcycle Show back in January. Finally Honda has added a gear indicator as their competition in this segment all offered a gear indicator on their small 300cc bikes. I like the new styling as it will replace the rather out dated CB300F. Good job to Honda.

Something that is important to add is that it have problems with the grip as soon as tempratures drop close to 5 degrees celsius and rain. If you want to stay on hte bike and not on the ground you really have to slow down in turns. I believe this can be fixed by changing tires. I only feels safe riding on dry surfaces. But the bike is really good as long as its a little warm.

Honda wants to get its act together I have had nothing but problems with my bike . First it was the water leaking from the coolant hoses then the throttle cable and now the front forks are leaking so more money lost because of not being at work on time because of the bike and it’s problems. I’m glad MCN Got 70mph out of the bike for a sustained period of time as I can hardly get 60mph out of mine

For all that I use my current NC750X DCT, I wish I had never sold my little 2014 CBR 125 R. It was a nice little bike for getting around town. Between the fuel economy and insurance, it was cheaper to operate here in Canada than a scooter. I just didn't like the faired look...but a few dollars and a bit of work and I could have had something similar to this naked.

For a car driver's license holder in Europe a 125 cm bike is a great learner tool, without needing to go for the whole hog of getting an "A" bike license for bigger motorcycles before even starting to ride. .I am planning to get a 125 so I can just get back to motorcycles and not bother with going through the hassles of doing a license on a powerful bike only to ride a smaller commuter. In two years I will be ready for an upgrade to something much bigger without fearing that a 100+HP bike will be too intimidating to take it out to the city traffic.
