I have the car for 9 months now...my only complaint is the paint job and handling wise. My previous car is wira, the city handling is bad compared to the legend wira Large cabin space, smooth and powerful engine than the competitors but also have great fuel economy. No regrets buying haha

last year 2019, this Honda City model sells a few thousand unit more than the Persona NFL... why? and this year wasnt an fair year to compete as Covid-19 around... people tends to get cheaper car... and GOV department and Taxi company brought a numbered of them... while City customer maJority are direct onwer... we dont see Honda City as taxi’s or police car

Great in depth walk around.The paint job and upholstery in the boot area is quite poorly done if I must say.

Most car makers don't paint the boot area. That is normal practice. At Toyota, when I was there years ago, we had this issue, and at that time a decision was made to paint the boot area too, but not sure if it is still carried out today.

Class leading cabin and boot space is the selling point of the Honda city. Engine performance is also better compared to the vios and almera. Though the NVH is better in the new toyota vios. Having said that the new Toyota Vios is the better valued car in it's segment as it now comes with many driving assist function which is lacking in the honda city.

But the Vios designer should be sack.. personal opinion though as looks are subjective. But so far NOT even a single person I know says the New Vios is pretty, totally different feedback for the 3rd gen Vios when it launched years back.

Cannot wait for Genting Hill test! Since my dad own this car last year, we do high-hill drive between Keningau to KK via Crocker Range. That brake almost worn-out since this hill way more steep compare Genting.

I know the road you are talking about. Repeated hill climbing would definitely shorten the brake pad life, but that is not abnormal. You just have to check them more regularly.

Kimanis That road are very dangerous. Well known that road better and important than a performance cars. Especially down Hill. Brake and air bags won't save you. Your driving skill and attitude save you.

@@YSKhongDriving , yup uncle. In fact, recently we change that brake pad or should I said cut that rotter disk by Honda Mechanic, not cheap though. And we already have more than 10 trip return via this hill

@@YSKhongDriving cause i wanna compare it to my city hybrid on the time to reach gotong. I dont like city hybrid cause if the car battery drop down to 1 bar the car really lack of power(power is been used to charge up the battery)

but the 2019 are so outdated... rivals using electric power steering ( EPS ) but NFL Saga 2019 still using hydraulic power steering... what a shame... already 2019 still no aircond ventilated for driver’s and front passenge leg compartment? Saga Premium doesn have adJustable rear headrest? not even leather wrapped steering wheel, no keyless entry or push button start?? worse that BezZa... at least NFL BezZa AV comes with AEB... the cheapest sedan car in Malaysia to offer AEB...

You should earn around 5 - 6k a month. Then you will be comfortable owning this car.

For push start button, should i do the 3 step or just press brake and push the start button? (For any car brand)

Usually you have to press the brake pedal. It is a safety measure to prevent accidental rolling of the car in case anything goes wrong.

the best is press it On let the system ready , then only step on brakes and press for start engine

1st and 2nd time just press the button to ensure the system be ready...and for 3rd time press the brake pedal together with push start button to start-up the engine... i think that's the way to have a proper start-up....

I was somewhat stunned when I first seen the City, esp. the interior. I was about to get one already, but my decision changed after I met X70. Yes, some may say that the two are from different class, but I am afford to pay until a 350k car, plus I am not really a car lover, so I always would like to choose one that suit my needs, I don't really care if they are from same or different class. If I really were to get a City, I will go for a Hybrid version. Just two days back I had a test drive, both Grade V and Hybrid, I like the performance of Hybrid plus it's super duper fuel consumption ratio. If you have chance to look into 2019 Iriz premium version, the seat is much much comfortable than City Grade V. This month, the City Hybrid version has up to 9k discount, making it to OTR price at 85k. Forget about Grade S, E, V, unless you favor to full leather seat, but again, the leather seat is not as comfort, just go to nearby Proton dealer and give Iriz a try to feel what I say.

Yes they are two different cars. In the same vein, another person would say his BMW X5 would be better than the X70. So one just goes and buys the car that he or she can afford, and likes. However if two cars are very similar in price or size, then people might be curious about the differences, to check if one is more worth it over the other. If money is not the issue, you just buy what you like. I would like to be like that, but I am not as blessed.

By the way, what my thinking is, X70 standard model's price is quite close to City Grade V, but what surprise me is, Iriz interior is some what better than City Grade V, so why should I get a City, I'd rather pay for X70. If Proton brings in X50 with same spec in China plus under 100k, City will be in doom. However, the big plus for City is, its Hybrid version, it is superb, Malaysian should really consider it, it worths every single penny.

Yes, the X50 is going to be a challenge for the other B segment vehicles because the expected price level is low. But that is how the car industry is like, many ups and downs. Proton also was up in the clouds for a long time, then had to come down and now the partnership with Geely seems to be working. Chines say " Fung Shuei Tham Tham Cheen" ( literally meaning that good fortune go round and round ).

This car is very nice. I liked it. But at this moment, he's not the King anymore, it's been taken down by Persona. I'm not very sure y Persona took down Myvi and City easily, maybe the Price... Sorry Uncle Khong, may I know did you review the Suzuki Swift before?

Price, parts n service are always important factors. I reviewed the Swift some years ago. It is a great car and the 1.4 engine is very good. The 1.6 is even better.
