Ive done little things to mine, like an really epic selfmade intake. When the road is dry soon i will upload an acceleration too. Then we can see how it compares to yours with the better intake and throttle body^^ But i will do this too! I love Hondas Lego principle^^

Hi. I recently swap an intake manifold. D14A3 engine with D16Z6 intake manifold. There is one problem. On full throttle running too lean mixture from 2-3k rpm, I would even say detonation. At idle, give it to the floor - everything is ok. The mixture is clearly lean, all candles are white. What did I do: 1. Replacing the fuel pump with a new one 2. Replacing the fuel filter 3. Filled injector cleaner, cleaned the injectors manually 4. Changed the fuel regulator 5. Cleaned the throttle 6. Changed the ecu from D14A4 7. New candles 8. I tried high-voltage wires and ignition coils from another Civic 9. New o2 sensor 10. Tried another maf sensor None of the above gave any result. I must say right away that idle is normal, the rev does not float, there are no air leaks from the outside. There is one regularity - if the intake tract is blocked with something, narrowing the incoming air flow, then drives without failures by 90 hp, as before with the vertical manifold. Please, help me!

Hey!, First, you might wanna check out your airflow sensor, give it a good clean and make sure its positioned right. Recheck if map and throttle position sensors aren't switched (doesn't harm trying it out) if it runs worse after switching you'll know it was right. Are you using oem d14 injectors? You should be using the stock d14 injectors. Since you already swapped fuel filters etc, maybe try more expensive fuel

One more thing, you say detonation, are you sure the ignition timing etc is correct?

Take off the valve cover and check if timing belt is good and tight too, it doesn't happen often but it might've slipped a teeth or two

​@@Remi_Jansen MAP and TPS sensors are connected correctly. I checked by the colors of the wires. And yes, i m using stock injectors on 190cc. I filled only 95 and 98 gasoline. But I really forgot to check the ignition timing. Tommorow I will check and report the results. Thanks man.

Did you just swap the Intake? Or even the throttle valve? Would be pretty interesting what it took you to istall this. How is the Car running now, jumping Idle rev?

Car runs great, just use all new gaskets for the throttlebody and engine itself, swapped d14 throttlebody over cuz u dont need D16 TB or injectors, read the description of my other video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hLyma9eIzM6UpqM.html

@@Remi_Jansen Thinking about if its possible to do the same with my D14A3. You did use the D16Z6 from the 1.6i EG 5th Gen Civic, why did you not take the D16Y8 from the 6th gen? Where is the big Difference, its both from the 125PS 1.6i.

@@flyingpuma2836 The reason for me is simple, they never sold D16Y8's here in the netherlands, you will gain some bottem end by swapping to a d16 intake, and about 10 horsepower with stock exhaust. normally when you go full throttle at low rpm nothing really happens till 2,5k rpm, with the D16 intake that's all gone because it flows alot nicer, it drives like a different car

@@flyingpuma2836 Just be sure if you plan to do this, you get a D16 intake WITH the throttlebody, because you need to swap over the throttlebody pulley which drives the throttle cable to the d14 Throttlebody , the d14 throttlebody pulley goes the wrong way for this setup

And you really feel a difference if you only change the D16Z6 intake manifold and the rest of the engine is stock? I can buy this manifold planned and polished for 45 Bucks and plan to do so. But some people say there is no difference and i will run badly afterwards and consumes way more fuel. Whats your experience with that? Best Greets :-)

My engine runs completly fine, idles normal too, read my discription from the how i wired it up video, you need to keep the stock injectors and throttlebody, fuel consumption is the same , all you're doing is giving the engine more air, and more air is a bigger explosion
