N/A wasnt getting it done? Could not be any more wrong bro they were getting it done in ways any other turbo car could not. The Honda Integra DC2 touring car had " 23 wins, five Drivers’ Championships between three drivers and four Manufacturer titles. Its record remains unbroken to this day." The honda S200 it held the record for most hp per liter from a a naturally aspirated engine from 1999-2010. The car that beat it? The Ferrari 458.

So I have a stock type r with an AWE Touring exhaust, and a K&N air filter. What could I do to have that whoosing noise? Cheapest option please. And also what the function of the boost is, better air? speed?

Own an FK8, ditch the BOV. You have a MAF system, you shouldn't be making noise, you're losing power (even on a custom tune...if you had one?). Each shift, you're dumping fuel into your engine as the car is expecting the air to recirculate back. Kind of like Darth Vader, you are screwing yourself with that noise maker. OEM part sounds and functions just fine with the proper tune and supporting parts.

I have an fk7, and yes a bov on these new Honda 1.5 & 2.0 turbo engines, will make it run rich. But I’m pretty sure that’s only if you put a bov replacing the stock bpv (bypass valve). With a bpv block off plate and the bov on the correct spot, it should work fine. In the video, you can see he doesn’t have the bov on the stock spot, it’s now in between the engine head cover and the battery..
