I'm 21 and bought one of these last week but not the black edition, i have to say it is a dream everything about it, driven nicely i have got 35mpg but currently averaging 30-32 on a combined cycle, definatly the car to have, by watching your reviews you convinced me this was the car to get and thank god you did, thanks alot and safe journeys

This FK2 model is a seriously impressive machine, I know the game has moved on a bit, such is the automotive world at the moment, but, if this was the benchmark before the likes of the Focus RS, I can't help but wonder, what's the next generation model going to be like? Especially with independent suspension at the back, instead of a torsion bar.

Are they some total production numbers of these? Soud be rarest type R, ever? the FD2 was approx 8k cars, I know the swedish market getting approx 250-300 cars. if Uk gets 2500, Japan 750 and sweden 300, how many did they sold in big markets like france and germany? Iam realy intrested to get any numbers if its avalible? the car stops in to sell in sweden in september or someting like that I own a brand new Championchip white, and I will keep it as a collectrors item. I will buy one used in the future to use.

This is a great review, however the delivery can definitely be done with more enthusiasm. The presenter's face and tone is as exciting as the sloth that crossed tried to cross the road. Otherwise, the content was fantastic!

each to their own, I really enjoy the previous Type R (FN2 ) hatch, it is super exciting to drive. Its not to everyone's taste. and yes, just like every other brand out there, it is mediocre in stock form, but once u open up the breathing of a Type R, it really gives you surprisingly in your face fantastic performance.. I mean, I am not a fan of VW for my own personal taste and attributes which I look for in a car but I don't go sharing my opinion on reviews of those brands which I don't dislike.LMAO. hey dude, I really feel ur level of dislike for this car....but to be honest, keep Your long descriptive opinion to yourself, no one is interested man....... I think the Type R is over priced as it is not in the right price class.. and Type R's are not out to impress just anyone and everyone, there are certain ppl in the world who these cars appeal to and that is all that matters, only a Person who can appreciate and understand what Vtec civics and Type R hatches are able to give to the Person who drives it hard everyday for a small 1.6 /2L N/A motor in previous models and obviously now the 2L boosted vtec motor will show its capabilities in time. another key note to add is.......These Hondas are very strong cars, they can take so much abuse and so much Hammering and still be reliable after so many kms/miles.... but different Ppl like different things in life, So stop hating on things you can't understand and go enjoy the things that you understand...

I don't get it, this car is ugly as hell, it's too expensive to be as powerful as a 15 year old Subaru, and it's slower than a 30 year old Corvette. What are you people interested for? Just to say "Type R" when people ask what you drive? I don't know, this car would have been really cool 20 years ago, or even 15, but now, it's just a cool name attached to a run of the mill car. Subaru conquered the "performance, affordable 4 cylinder" nearly two decades ago, Honda bringing this to market now is the most ultimate expression of "too little, too late" that I have seen in a long while...
