Just a short video and demonstration showing a simple tool I have developed to push out those internal bearings on the honda crf linkage(or any motorbike linkage). The linkage in the video was already on the bike and in a poor condition of neglect. I replaced the linkage and bearings myself and would never let any components get anywhere near this condition. Hope this helps please share as there's so many questions asked on how to remove them but no definitive answer hence the need to post this video.

WOW you know out of the 15 or so videos showing how to replace the bearings on the linkage, none of the showed how they got these out. Thank you for your genius tool im going to make one as well since my stupid bearings wont come out. Thank you!

Yes my friend - THANK YOU. After 11 years of neglect of my 05 CFR250R I've has since 2010, I'm finally doing the swing arm and lower linkage. Swing arm bolt was seized but lots of PB Blaster and let still for 24hours and it came out no problems today. Just started doing the lower linkage and the full Honda Service manual does NOT explain needing the blind bearing tool but I just looked at my Clymer and it explains it and I thought this was going to cost me $$$$$$ for the tool. I'm doing this in my back yard and I have access to the redi rod and expansion piece etc for free so brilliant!!!!! All the needle bearings came out in pieces but i'm soaking the old bearings in PB Blaster and will have at them tomorrow. I had a huge crack in the sub arm assembly and bought one of Ebay for $40 CDN and IMO its brand new all the bearings etc are pristine.

That's the bomb. 20mm ramset dyna bolt for 2011 YZ 125. Fit into bearing outer after needles removed, then a steel drift (long 16mm bolt) from the opposite side. Slight variation but same result. Thanks heaps.

yes your correct you can get them in a few different sizes. this is an easy fix

Great stuff, I was trying to punch the both bearings with what I thought was a spacer, all the way through and out. Now I see hat they are blind bearings. Just as well I didnt go and use the hydraulic press at my works ;-)

M10 was too small for my WR450. Warming up the aluminium with a hot air gun was the key to getting my bearings out.

Inspired by this I went to B&Q... they didn't have these exact parts (no M10 nuts at all!) but I got a 60mm M10 masonry plug which did the trick to get one of the bearings out... unfortunately on the other the lip just snapped off. Nightmare.

Yep worked great but only with M12 rawl bolt and thread, mine wouldn't come out with M10 rawl bolt, WR250 F

its called a Rawl Plug

it's not a rawl plug ,,,,,,it is a anchor bolt for concrete or red head size m10

Anyone in Australia a 20mm x 110mm dynabolt from bunnings is perfect for the lower link bearing cages for crf250 2010, use lots of heat!!!

So now you still need a press to get the bearings installed. So you might as well set up the press to get the old ones out. Good idea tho

You can hit them in using the old race and those bits of timber

Animal ... rough as F**K ... could have easily used a longer threaded bar, locked Rawl bolt behind bearing, used a socket as a puller tube, nut & washer & wound it out without smashing a soft alloy linkage into a socket, clearly damaging alloy rocker ....
