Am I right in presuming that the village is a 40 mph road as you were at times doing 39 mph? You were doing nearly 28 mph in a 20 mph area and then later on doing that 39 mph and then passed a sign changing the speed limit to just 40 mph. So had that been a 30 mph road?

Interestingly I didn’t see him overtake a single car. 🤷

@@BikingChap That's good, so often I see instructors or others doing the max speed limit on country roads and catching up with everything and then apparently having to overtake everything they come up behind. Don't they know that if they dropped there speed by maybe only 5 mph they wouldn't do any or make only half the overtakes and that journey it would be a much safer one. In police traffic training under general roads patrolling conditions we were advised not to make unnecessary overtakes but to follow and view traffic under normal road going conditions. Its safer that way so what's all this about 'making progress', Its civilian instructors that make an issue with it.

@@rcraven1013 interestingly I got the offer of an appraisal from a police trainer at a dealer open day and was judged as 'very cautious' I put that down to riding as you say, just a little slower rather than feeling the need to blast past everything at pace. Or maybe I'm just very slow :)

Unless it was a mistake, I highly doubt I was speeding. I’m not from England and had to pay £950 just for 3 months of insurance. I definitely don’t want to test my luck getting any tickets. Thanks for watching!
