I just finished a successful replacement of the thermostat, thermostat housing, heater pipe, and lower radiator hose for my son's 2007 Honda CRV, and this video was definitely the key to my success. It was a time-consuming job, but this video prepared me for all of the tricky parts and the potential pitfalls, so I was able to get through it without any major mishaps. Very grateful for this video!

Thanks for the video Nick! Heater pipe on my '08 CRV was in much much worse shape than yours, ready to burst, leaking like a sieve already. I could not remove any of the 6 rusted bolts on thermostat housing even with bolt extractor sockets. Had to smash the plastic with hammer/chisel into pieces until only the screws bolted to engine block remained. They came out easy after that, having them exposed and getting a good grip on them.

Those aftermarket transmission filters don’t have the bypass valve. Your better off not replacing it unless you want to go to the dealer for one. Funny how you spent money on an alternator but the AC pulley bearing can fail too. Mine was making noise, I bought a dorman clutch kit and replaced it by removing the belt, the splash guard, and I think the tire. Luckily the snap rings where in the right spot or it would have been impossible without removing the compressor out. Got aisin water pump, gates belt, tensioner, and pulley. New ngk iridium spark plugs. Lifetime warranty Napa starter, all new Honda windshield wipers, and arms, All Weather Toyo Celsius tires, Wix filter, and some high mileage oil I got on sale. Jiffy lube screwed up twice the last oil change so no more of that. I’ve also done the lift gate struts with German made ones off Amazon for $100. Phillips LED safe beam lights. Has the AC charged, New Honda blue Coolant, brakes bled with new fluid. Coolant was fine, brake fluid was black and was probably never changed. New rear brakes pads, rotors, where done just before I got it 3 1/2 years ago. Put a beck and arnley ignition switch in cause it started buzzing 2 weeks after I got it. New fram air filter, new Honda pcv valve That I haven’t installed cause using carb cleaner works better then gasoline for cleaning them. 😂. Polished the oxidized headlight lenses, and used 3/4 of a can of muguires clear coat spray. Cleaned, and waxed this past fall too. Oh and the last thing is a tpms sensor failed before I got it. Lived with the stupid light 3 years hoping it would burn out. Finally got the sensor replaced but it cost $100 for the one tire. 😡
