MrHerbie1977 , sorry for the really long delay in replying to you. It originally didn't respond to anything, just error light. I had downloaded the Honda troubleshooting manual normally used by the Honda technicians at a garage. It is about 200 pages long and has flow diagrams to try to solve the complex system used in the roof. I started with the easy checks first then began with the more difficult ones which required to take inner plastic panels off to gain access to inner workings and gears. The manual was very detailed in how to dismantle and what to look out for. When I came across the geared unit in roof (roll bar section behind head) I noticed that the gears were aligned in the wrong place according to the pictures in manual. So I took them out and realigned them, put system back together and first touch of button it fired into life for the first time in years. Clearly my cars roof system hadn't worked for a while as every part was clearly almost new and unused. Hope this helps others 😉👍

Sadly don't own any more, sold it a couple of years later for £1500! They now fetch £4000+ lol

hey henry, if i remember the size was 15" fitted with 205/50/15 yokahama tyres. I can remember the make of the wheels as they had been powder coated before I bought the car. very similar to Fox Racing FX004, or Team Dynamics Pro Race alloys.

15" from what i remember, can't remember the width of them but i know i had Yokahama tyres. it was 5 years ago. thanks

They were the standard JDM original skirts. Effectively the unpainted black plastic ones.

@@eileenerz1023 They were the standard original skirts that came with the car when new. Some models had them painted the same colour as car to match. These were just black plastic same as the original mud guards.

no but i forget which model does i think its the jdm spec ones, like with right hand drive and all

W4VE that was an opcional, here in Portugal there are auto tops too, 1.5 vtec esi or 1.6 vtec vti, there's on both

Max Pain that's how del sol's automatic rooftop works, it's not fake, just weird 😂 and it's something that tends to brakedown easily

You are wrong, the do not break down easily. They actually last for decades before they start to break and if they do it is an easy fix.
