Honda EK9 CTR Refresh Build - Interior Refresh with New Oem Parts (Episode 5)

Starting with a slightly used JDM steering wheel, then work our way up to the brand new oem shift boot, A/C panel illuminated light bulb, along with replacement front and rear panels from our friend at JDM Ohio Direct.
On the next episode, we will be installing our new suspensions and also a small surprise for all of you.

Installing an EK9 steering wheel in an EK9, bet that doesn't happen too often. It's so awesome that you clean everything top to bottom before reinstalling the parts. OCD viewers approve!

Wow that’s amazing how that entire rear hatch area came apart exactly like my Integra. I’ve had the rear apart on my car so many times over the years I could do it with my eyes closed. The seats, carpet, trim panels, everything came apart exactly the same way.

Great job Mike, I used to hate working on interiors you have to remove so many panels to get to where you want to be and I'm talking about the 70-90's, these modern cars look like an absolute nightmare. John UK

By chance do you guys still have the old panels? I am doing a rhd conversion on my ek hatch. I havent been able to find black rear panels. Plus i have a 4 point roll cage so those cutouts are in the perfect spots.

I have a question! I noticed the back of the rear seats were brown/rusted? Is this normal? Or a sign of water/moisture in the boot?

They are normal since the rear seat frame is raw metal

That spare tire cover gotta go man all warped and nasty tbh I would’ve done some OEM+ sorta stuff if possible done led for cluster and HVAC instrument lights Upgrade the speakers And use switchbacks on the headlights turn signals and fender markers still keep it OEM but updated CTR get clear turn signal housings with no irange but then get an orange turn signal bulb in there that defeats the purpose I tend to go with chrome glass ones or LED ones overall nice and clean tho
