Honda Element Front Noise part 2 - problem found - fixed - loose endlinks

9 жыл бұрынFigured out how to reproduce the sound while the car wasn't in motion. Took some heavy rocking.
Placed cameras and found that the end link that was replaced recently was loose.
Just jump to the end 3:15 to see the loose endlink making the knocking noise. I didn't know what was making the sound so I moved the camera around to hone in on the noise.

Opened both doors and stood on the side step - grabbed the roof rack on top and started bouncing up and down. Was able to reproduce the knocking in front of the mechanic. He was impressed with the rocking method!

Nice.... I am having the same problem on the same side and after having the links replaced. That last bit of video was the nail in the coffin.

I can't believe that much noise was coming from the away bar link. Mine sounds like that too when I hit bumps. I'm hoping now that this is the issue. Appreciate the video.

Bobo Havanese Hehehehe there is more than just one noises I hear a crack pop squeak fizzle dang. Wow this shit is all out of wack shit could use a tune up. Hehehehe wd40 on deck😂😂😂

That's a difficult one to tighten by hand. Had to take mine to the shop to get it tightened after replacing myself.

anyone find a video on removing the top dashboard? Want to get into to remove some rattling sounds coming from above and behind the air vents.

Hi, I had a rumbling noise coming from the back end area and 90 bucks later it was the rubber bushings in the sway bar. Finally silence on the back end! Now I have a scratchy noise on the front... almost sounds like it needs lube but I will investigate more later today. Any ideas?

So were the end links knocking after you replaced them? I was having this same noise and I replaced all of my front end parts about 3 months ago and now the knocking is back. I need to get under the car and see if they loosened up. Thanks!

Don't get the thumbs down. I had the same problem and discovered it using the same method. Luckily for me I already suspected the left stabilizer link, so it only took setting up my phone to video one time

It's the bolt on top of the strut look at it while you do this !

Sway bar bushes or links are usually the culprit.

How in the Hell are you bouncing the car so much. I weigh 150lbs and can't even move my car up and down that much. Are your shocks completely gone? Do you have 4 people sitting on the tailgate?

Open door and suicide door, grab onto roof rack, stand and bounce on side step.

I think part of the muffler is kicking the Buddy underneath cuz I have the same problem and I fixed it by bending the hungers of the muffler.

Turned out to be the sway Bars....my issue is fixed :)

Can’t point out a solution that I don’t know with all these squeaks and rattles this shit was like a puzzle to me and I love cars but when it comes to diagnosing that’s the downfall right there cause I hear noises guess what it is and then completely fuck over my judgment for bad sounds
