Thanks for sharing this Alek. I've been thinking about this lately including today. I bought a really nice 2004 Element EX a year ago and it's been great but does need a few things taken care of which I've been working on. One thing lately though is there's some sort of mostly faint background thumping when I drive. It never did that when I bought it and just came up lately. The tires are pretty new and they were recently balanced again too so don't think that's it. Just bought some end links and bushings for the rear sway bar so will be installing those shortly. I'll look into some of these things and see what I can find. Thanks.

@@BCE-111 The first Element I bought, had a shaking in the front and the guy couldn't figure out what it was! It turned out to be the aftermarket axles

@@alekslpez One thing that has needed repair and hasn't been yet is the passenger side CV boot is cracked. Haven't looked at it lately but am considering replacing the axle itself. Seems like a better option. Maybe that's what it is.

Look up Eric the Car Guy. He has old videos on his 2004 Honda Element. He put silicone lubricant on the rear swaybar bushings to stop some of that rear-end noise.

@@clintconnally6603 Thanks. I'll look him up. And I've heard too it is good to put some lubricant on the bushings when replacing them. And I've been meaning to get to replacing those parts. Relatively easy job especially since my Element's been in SoCal all its life. No rust. What happened is I ordered the Moog parts from Home Depot on Wednesday, and it said they'd be delivered yesterday or today. I was going to do it this weekend. But when I checked online yesterday it said they'd be delivered next Tuesday. So I called them to see what happened. And the nice rep said he'd offer a full refund. But I told him to go ahead and let the order go through and I could always return them to the local store if I found them sooner somewhere else. But what he actually meant, and did, is to give me a full refund, $53, and told me to keep the parts. So that was great. :) No hurry on doing the job.
