Honda EU3000is VS Predator 3500 Inverter

A non-scientific comparison of the Honda EU300i and the Predator 3500 inverter generators. The Honda is literally 3 times the price of the predator.....is the Honda 3 times better than its rival?...I guess time will tell.

Man that Honda Generator bring back memories we’ve been using the same one since Hurricane Wilma in 2005 when I was 5 years old when we had no power for 2 weeks. And we used it again 12 years later with Hurricane Irma until we got power back 5 days later.

That predator and the smaller 2000 watt predators are INCREDIBLE!

long term reliability is what counts. its hard to believe it will last as long as the honda. only time will tell. also resale value matters and honda has outstanding resale value.

My honda has 7. 500 hours never has problems.. I used royal purple oil 10w30.....shell gas supreme

Recently got a predator and couldn't be happier. So far 15 hours and it is working superb.

I have the predator 3500 too. I think it's great. I noticed that if you don't lock the wheel and make sure it snug, you get that annoying rattle. Cheers!

So far It seems the only thing it’s compatible with are the small details. Which is great because it’s half the cost!

Peter Pan, I returned the Predator because the "eco" mode did not throttle down to the degree the Honda does, at 1350 watts, about 1/3 its capacity, the Predator was already at full throttle, the Honda was still at a little above idle. I don't know if this by design or if I got a malfunctioning machine. Thanks!

As I said in other videos on this new Predator Inverter. If you're gonna pay this much on a Chinese made product, just spen the extra few hundred and get a Briggs and Stratton P3000. They have been in the small engine market for decades. I think they know what they're doing. Plus made in USA Wisconsin.

have a Friend that is a contractor & bought a Predator gen to try out it ran 5 days a week 10 hours a day it only lasted 6 mouths His Honda is over 3 years old and still Running Strong !!! SO both will run a Saw big deal see which one lasts after some Heavy use !!

I hate to say it but it looks like the Honda had a harder time starting that saw than the Predator did. Hard to see how much the saw jerked your hand from torque when powered by the Honda but it sounded like the saw started slower and wound up to speed slower with it. The saw really jerked when you hit the button when powered by the Predator. Now just need to see it hold up like a Honda.

Sounds good but I just don’t trust that Chinese stuff for the long hall. My buddy has one and when he went to change the oil after running it in for 8 hours the oil that came out was full of metal particles Never seen that on a Honda or a Briggs.

Thanks, but not really a good test. a Saw draws more amps when cutting through a board.

ramlinman2004 - Not in a million years, that predator (it's really a rebranded loncin)won't stand the test of time. The Honda's quieter and the saw ran just as well. So tell me, how did the "predator bury it"?? Make no mistake, there's NO equivalent for a Honda or Yamaha!

I ant to see how they both perform after they each have 1000 hrs on them. The Predator only has a 90 day warranty, that how much confidence HF has in it.
