Honda Fireblade CBR900RR engine swap video diary. 2004 CBR1000RR motor being shoe horned in to my CBR900RR 1996 frame.Slowly getting there as electrical systems are tested. Bit more techie this one but interesting all the same :-)

Many thanks KaldekBoch for making this vid as im not sure if I would have figured it out without it!! RR4 Blade has different hardware to whats described in the video. The process is as follows:
Pull the Pink wire out of the wiring loom from pin 30 Block A on the ECU connector (The pins come out with a screw driver) This pink wire is the old HISS feed to the ECU.
Once you’ve done that cut the wire just above the pin and solder it to the black / white wire which feeds the injection system, don’t cut the Black/white wire just join on to it. Im not sure which pin this wire is on the ECU, but should be the only black/white wire connected.
Once you’ve joined on to the black/wire wire with your pink pin then just plug it in to the empty pin slot on the ecu connector at PIN number 29 on ECU block B.
PIN number 29 on ECU block B is used for the second power feed on the US ECU.

Hey buddy, got this exact same issue, looking to buy myself a USA ecu and do this wiring job that you just did to get your bike going, just looking for exact description on what wire or wires to chop and change to get the USA ecu to work on my euro loom? Cheers really appreciate your help. Can't wait to get this bike running!

what plug do you cut the wire on grey plug then soleder it onto black/white wire on grey plug or black plug?

Hi! How are you? I have a 2010 cbr600rr, which I bought at a store and I am sure, after disassembling the bike, that it has much more than 22,000 kilometers on it. By the way do you know any scanner that reads and diagnoses the ECU and shows the true mileage?

Hi mate your bikes getting I’m in the same kinda position just a few months behind 😂 I’m in the position of deciding what forks and swing arm I’m thinking Aprilia rsv Millie forks but not sure about swing arm maybe vfr 800 or the Millie could I ask what your swing arm is from and what forks your useing ???? Get Honda to send you a new programmed key. Then clone it just in case, even if you just clone it to an fr chip in a key fob. You need at least one coded key to add or code more.

where is the bank angle sensor on these? If that is faulty or unplugged the fuel pump wont prime, that might be why it want starting

I think I have the opposite problem. I have a u.s. bike and harness. I've read contradicting info on if my ECU is European or not. Can you tell me where that pin you mentioned is or how to tell which ECU you have?

I have a 929 rr. It ran great but now as I come to a stop it would tend to bog and my display panel would go dim and my bike would die out. Any feedback is appreciated. Aloha from the 80( State.

Lamb Chop nice, thanks. Decent price seemingly too (depending on VAT vs a 'present' shipped) They looked to have a longer peg but it may be just visual perspective? Is the quality decent? May I ask for why you chose them?

H.T.V. Blu yes quality is very good, chose them mainly due to cost and liked the custom colors as wanted black and gold. Ive hjad them on there 2 years now and they still look like new! Im tempted to go for Gilles or something but the cost is just crazy and im sure there will be no better at all..

I did the same on my CBR 1100xx EU version, installed an American ecu without hiss, new American ecu Usd 700, EURO ecu, 1200 euros, nonsense, by by hiss.

IM about to do this tomorrow , thanks for the help, are you sure its pin 29 on the black plug? i read elsewhere it was pin 28, dunno who to believe at the moment., , and for people watching, you release the 8mm-sized- wire plug rear first by prying up the 2 tabs each side ( 4) and then put a small flathead in the very centre to pry the centre of both sides up (2) do one at a time obviously, then it should pop the rear cover off the plug then you gently insert in something small to pry the rubber insulator mat out and slide it out of the way, then you attack the plug from the front with a tiny 1mm flathead screwdriver and pry the plastic tang down and hold it down whilst you release the wire from the rear with needle nose pliers "gently" its not fun, well trying to figure out how to do it with no help it isnt, lets just say that.
