Thanks, the 2nd Gen (GEs) are supposed to be where it's at. It is a SportRack roof rack, the roof box is SportRack as well. No issues installing, I had read to keepthe bars back to avoid the curved front door frames and adjust the bars for that, but as long as you take your time and get them all dialed in evenly without tightening them down first you would be fine. The only issue I have is that because they are the clamp style a certain part of the door rubber is unable to fully seal and I had some issues with leaking. To be fair the 1st Gen Fits (GD) always had some door leaking issues. I actually carved out a spot in the rubber for the clamp and put some tape on it to form a better seal. So far problem solved!

Wow really? This actually never occured to me, people are always surprised when I say I live in a Fit but it is actually quite spacious.

The platform is 60", but you get an additional ~6" by folding the passenger seat down

Hi man, great question, I'm getting around 30-33mpg now with all the additions in normal driving conditions. I'll do a real test and find out next time I do highway driving. High winds, high speeds, and large hills obviously reduce that quite a bit though, if you own a fit you know what I mean.

Large roll of brown craft paper ideally, you may have to lay multiple peices out and tape them together. Take out everything you would and press the paper into the edged to make a mold basically then trace the edges with a pencil. It also helps to cut bits of relief in the paper at sharp bends and use omething to weight it down so it doesnt shift. Once you have a stencil just cut it out and double check the fit. Good luck!

With one of the older hatchbacks and not the sedan, you might be able to do something comperable, but the dimensions would likely be different. The Fit is also a bit larger than you might think

@@skyleryeatman It is an older hatchback! I took some measurements and I think it'll work! Woohoo! I was going to sell it and go for a minivan but you can't beat the gas mileage (and I prefer driving stick, honestly).

@@cryptic_sandgoose9415 I considered a minivan as well, honestly the prices were just too high when I was looking. I'm really glad I stuck with the fit, the evolution isn't done yet either! I'm planning on adding a ceiling vent fan, and cooking station toward the rear hatch. I guess I'm just finally comfortable putting holes in my 15 year old car :p
