I just had the dealership do the work for me on this one.. they had pre-modified 7" rims available, and gave me credit for my old stock one. (I assume to be modified.) New Metzeler 240mm tire, I gave the old 200mm one to a friend for his Harley.

A little more info would help answer this better. Not knowing what kind of fender you have (stock or ours) or what kind of wide tire kit you used it is hard to say, but generally you should be able to have a passenger with the wide tire kit. how wide could you go with the stock hub if you were keen to chop up the rear and use an aftermarket fender?

was thinking how wide a rim/tyre before i hit the swing arm, not to fussed about the supports for the rear fender as i can modify that...
