Honda's flagship motorcycle is the standard when it comes to luxury touring. Smooth engine, DCT, airbags... the list goes on and on. We invited Phil Dawson to give us his impressions on the latest 'Wing!

Honda GW is top notch, Only thing I wish they could do is offer a removable top box in the rear for the bagger version

Honda certainly aren't looking at bringing in younger riders with that price tag. The absolute cheapest Goldwing is $30,000 in Canada. How is any young person supposed to afford that when most can't afford a house or pay rent? Bring the GB350 over from Japan and sell it new for $4000. That's a bike which appeals to young riders.

He said the seat was very tall - it looks too low for me & I'm a bit shorter than either one of you. I would love to see a road test where they take a touring bike like this, and absolutely flog the nuts off it, to see what it can really do. Puttering around like your riding with a bunch of GWRRA, isn't going to tell us much. Would my wife & i have to get matching vests and helmets too?

I'm definitely no pro by any means but this is the best "flogging" I could do----kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y5ZhdJyQydbZXYU.html 😉

Jesus, how tall is this guy? He makes the bike look kind of small.

I'm 6'0" and own a 2018 Gold Wing bagger. Is there a better motorcycle? It's a large comfortable sport bike.

Honda gold wing = best quality on two wheels.

No clutch lever, no go. Too scooter-ish for bike aficionados. I’d stick with the manual transmission as long as it’s available.

At 6'4 tall with long legs I'd like to thank Honda for designing a fairing with pointy bits made to smash my kneecaps in a collision. Great design.

You need a indian. Not a goldwing.

I got a 2023 dct. And i added the full tour package

I feel you! I want to love this Goldwing, but at 6'4" with a 36" inseam it just doesn't give me the room I have on my Victory Vision of on the Indian Challenger.

Terrible for 6’3” plus riders. Almost torture.

100%. I had a 2021. Tried it for 25k. Sold and bought an indian roadmaster. Indian tourers are the best for tall riders.

Not much of a review..it's clear the bike wasn't ridden much because no mention of how uncomfortable the OEM seat is...worst seat I've ever ridden on...or just how small the saddlebags are...also in the intro it's mentioned that this newest wing makes more power than the old model...not really..it's really the same power, but the bike is much lighter and gets 20% better fuel mileage...overall this model has many upgrades over the old model, but hp and luggage space aren't one of them.

That is not what this channel is about. Every 'review' of every bike is overwhelmingly positive.... no critical reviews. It is what it is... way it has always been (tracing back to TV days).

I have a 18 DCT. I don't agree about the seat. Never given me any dramas. Yes the bags on the otherhand are pretty rubbish. Fantastic bike otherwise.

I am wondering if goldwing would be comfortable for a 5’4 person.
@darroncrick999311 ай бұрын
I'm 5'7 and have one. I can only just tippy toes at the lights due to the wide seat. Once moving anyone could ride it and the lower centre of gravity makes it feel super solid. Best bike I've ever had but I would be test riding it first if I were 5'4.

When I think of Goldwings, I always remember when I was a kid in the 80s. There was a guy who would ride around town on a beautiful Goldwing and tight little shorts. He would hang around schools offering boys a ride home in exchange for ... favours. I was never one of those boys but that's why I wouldn't own a Goldwing.

@russellabernathy3241 you sold it at a low price and thats on you...the market for Gold Wings has been tight the last few years and those that have found a new Gold Wing have been paying top dollar....resale has been high with the used Gold Wings

My 2018 with a RDL seat is comfortable on 900 mile days..this newest Gold Wing with a good seat is every bit as my 2003 Gold Wing was..but has so many upgrades over the old wing.
