I just bought a CB500x this summer and am seriously wanting the NC750x with DCT. I may keep both, at least for a while, but more likely would need to choose and dump one next year.

Only reasons to go CB500X are: Cost/availability Don't want a DCT transmission Want to do some light offroad

How in hell are they going to have such a high mpg? It makes no sense, 100 mpg is something that only very low power low cc bikes can do, not a 750cc that weighs like 450lb and can cruise at 75 all day long. I googled and it says that it's close to 68 mpg, those numbers are usually result of very specific conditions, like riding at 55 mph to preserve fuel.

​@@pieterrossouw8596 generally yes, but some more details . - Cb500X drastically lighter, more agile - better brakes (double disk at front) - 19" front wheel, much better off road and on bad roads - more ground clearance +35mm - more suspension travel - much better fuel range (3.4l larger fuel tank, with better fuel consumption it can do 150-200km more on full tank) So yes, a bit more well rounded, capable everywhere. NC very limited for bad roads and off road, but has advantage at touring, highway.

Yes mate, Cb500x is more thank Capable 💪

People really underestimate the CB500X - if you're under the weight limit that the suspension is specced for, you can trust this bike to handle it. Honda engineers are also quite conservative so you can take it right up to the limit and be fine.

@@martinrea8548 Haven't ridden one of those yet but from my observations the answer is: maybe. The luggage space is nice and if you need automatic it's pretty sweet. Also if you live in a very hilly area that requires lots of torque or ride 2 up I could see the value. If you're relatively lightweight (under 180 pounds) and aren't strictly commuting on the bike I think the CB500F is more fun. I would think touring on the larger NC750X for loooong stretches of highway might be superior and I think it gets better fuel economy. For strictly fun factor the CB500F seems to make more sense as it is much lighter weight and more responsive in the steering.
