Not quite the same engine as the AT as it has the older version of the AT engine without the six axis IMU. Built to a budget hence no electric adjustment to the screen (which is available on the Forza 350 scooter at less than half the price).

As an owner for a year it is very smooth. If you test drive a DCT version in the default D mode then it will lug when going slow and it is not nice. Set it to S2 or S3 and it will be much more fun and smooth. It is exactly the same engine as an Africa Twin and that has built up a very good reputation over years. I test drove a DCT version it when it first came out and hated it. I later had a chance to spend more time and learn how the DCT works and realised it was very good. Two weekends ago I covered over 400 miles in a day and did not have any vibration issues or excessive tiredness. Look at the long term reviews here on You Tube to see what they say.

No electric screen on an old fart tourer is a deal breaker for me. I will stick to my ponderous Honda Forza 300cc scooter thanks.

I ride an NT1100. In reality you put the screen at the height that suits you and it stays in that position. Not a deal breaker.

@@user-oj7hu4lc8v Ah that's where you're wrong. I live in Glasgow and I've done the Scottish NC500, the Islands and the Borders. Itchy Boots has covered the world on a Honda 300cc bike, my Honda Forza 300cc is hauling my camping equipment and 61 year old 15st me wherever I choose. Not only that it's got an electric screen that I fidget with and I'm pleased.

@@user-oj7hu4lc8v Thank you and nice having a chat with you. Riding the Honda Forza 300cc comes with problems particularly from BMW GS riders. They prefer to give me the two fingered salute when greeted by a friendly wave by a chap on a scooter. Apart from the bike snobbish behaviour scooter riding is fine. Enjoy the NC500 its a famous Scottish tour renowned for the beauty of the road. Kind regards John.

I own a 18 year old 1300 Pan European. It has an electric screen I can adjust as I'm riding and as weather conditions change. It's a big plus. Honda have gone backwards with the NT screen.

@@a.r.t.4611 I agree, this bike is aimed at folks who have the time and cash to tour. At 61 years old, I don't want to be hopping on and off the bike just to wrestle with the screen.

I arrived at a dealership, having full intention of buying this bike, but luckily I tried it ! To put it this way : I believed my Guzzi vibrates..... Well - comparing to THIS thing - it is smooooth, light and veeeerrry quiet ❗❗☝☝🤣 In addition - this bike is pretty stubborn - doesn't willingly go where it's told, without a fight.....😖 It is NOT agile, NOT nimble.... Turns lazily....Slugish.... NOT very good 🤷🏻‍♂ Yes, there's enough power, but there's nothing more. Well - for a typical Harley rider, it probably IS a smooth and comfortable bike....

Mine doesn't vibrate. Maybe you rode a DCT in default D mode? This mode is useless and lugs the engine. In sport modes the bike is great. Does it have sports bike performance. No. For many of us older riders who no longer ride like lunatics the bike is great.
