Fantastic man that looks great at 36 y.o I just picked up my very first Honda Odyssey fl250 and I’ve been scavenging KZfaq and google for different ideas 🙂 your build looks amazing if you have any updates that would be awesome thank you for the great content

There are definitely different routes you can take to build one of these. I went with mostly a factory, but if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't dump so much money in the engine and went with a 780cc predator in a FL350 only because it has full suspension. Unfortunately, I don't have any updates because I sold it before I moved. The guy that bought it said it was crazy fast!

I sold it for $2,500. If I had to do it again, I would have done a FL350 or a FL400. I spent way more money for what it's worth. That's why I never put fenders on it. Thanks for the subscription! I really need to start making more videos. I just completed a golfcart build, but I was to lazy to make a video on it. Now I'm customizing my Jeep to be a overlander. I do have pictures of the golfcart and some of my Jeep. I'll post more of my Jeep soon. Instagram: rkunsaw.garage

I just bought a odyssey fl250 for 200$ and is restoring it and I'm trying to get the engine started and bought new coil and cdi but my dad said that all engine needs to be lubricated with some type of oil where the crank shaft is he told me to find out about it so I ask you.
@RkunsawGarage
@RkunsawGarage 2 жыл бұрын
The fuel/oil mixture flows into the crankcase then it is pushed up into the combustion chamber as the piston moves down. It is amazing how little oil it takes to properly lubricate the whole assembly. The FL250 should have at least 135 psi (to do a compression test, hold the throttle wide open and have someone crank the engine over until the gauge quits moving). Low compression is anything under about 120. I'm not sure what year you have, but this has a lot of helpful information. oddatv.com/wp-content/uploads/2 ... Manual.pdf

@RkunsawGarage
@RkunsawGarage 2 жыл бұрын
I'd start checking the cheapest thing first. Get a spark plug tester and confirm spark. If that's all good, check for fuel by spraying some starter fluid into the carb. By doing this it will bypass your possible problems with the carb and fuel line. If it's still not starting, go to auto zone and rent a compression tester. You have to have good compression to ignite the fuel.

@@RkunsawGarage how hard would that be because my current engine is weird and I cannot start it because I think the stator has gone bad. I really like the 2 stroke sound but the reliability and the ease of use are tempting with a new engine. Can I just take the engine out and put the new one in with an adapter plate and a torque converter? I don't have any welding skills or any fabrication skills so doing something like building a mounting bracket would be hard

@@RkunsawGarage how hard would it be to put a 670 predator engine in the fl250. I’m not sure on size. But it could be a good engine if it fits because stock it is 22 hp. I do want stock or more than stock hp than the fl250. Maybe I could do something like a stage 1 kit for the 420 engine to get some more power or something along those lines.
