Excellent job on this video!!! You went the extra mile on clearly detailing the steps and even how the fasteners work - which is really appreciated, especially since it will help me save the $69.99 that the dealer quoted me, minus the cost of the filter.

Had my van for about five years. Never knew where the cabin filter was located. Thanks for the video! Found mine, and behold, it had NO filter in the tray. The dealer must have taken it out and never installed a new one. My system was running non filtered air all this time.

This video has got to be one of the best I have ever seen. The creator takes his time and shows every single nook and cranny. Every detail is covered and there's no way to mess up. There is no, "He didn't show this part." Please show how to manually start a/c clutch compressor. 🙏 same vehicle

This comment is 9 years old. Lol but I still say never use Honda if u don't have to. They wanted over 1K to replace bad automatic door roller. My husband & I were able to do it in less than an hour. Was a little hard to keep the door propped & safe, & lining the new roller up was a little hard. But I refuse stealerships! I won't even take my car to a mechanic unless I absolutely can't fix it. I'm going to school soon to become a mechanic because I get frustrated with how a lot of shops do folks. They're not all bad, I've found some great mechanics in my day. But the average person with no car knowledge is almost always sold something extra they don't need!

@@victoriagirdler4795this is a very general statement that could be applied to so many places nowadays with automotive services. it’s truly sad that if I’m not competent enough to repair my own car then I get screwed by some shop that overcharges for everything, and then try to tell me I need way more done than needed..

Thank you! I have done this before, (and I don't know how I figured it out last time - probably LOTS of trial) but it has been so long ago, I was glad to see a simple video how to do it. GREAT JOB! Thanks! Saved me $50 installation fee - for 5 minutes!

Thank you so much! Your voice is so soothing! As a female, mechanics like to take advantage of us for any ‘repair’, so I tend to do most things for myself. Thoroughly enjoyed the step-by-step instructions!

I have done the filter change on my 2003 several times and was planning to follow that procedure. I am REALLY glad I decided to see if the process was any different for an '09. WAY WAY better design! Your very well lighted and thoroughly explained video made all the difference in the world! Thank you so much. When I bought my '03 back in 08, I was given ALL the service records from the original owner. His papers made the claim that certain things had been performed. But upon learning how to access the cabin air filter it became apparent they NEVER changed that filter (I bought it with 113K mileage, way overdue for the filter.) because the structural member that was part of the dashboard assembly was still intact. This really made me want to tell anyone who relies on their dealership to do what they are supposed to do, to perhaps make any reasonable effort necessary to truly make certain the dealer does EXACTLY what they are supposed to do!I am a DIY guy, so I take it upon myself to learn to repair things myself. So I really value videos like yours that are well planned and executed!!!

Thanks for this video! Took me less time to replace this filter than watching this video :) - and thats all because of the clear directions in this video. A very helpful video! I visited a website after seeing a TV ad for automotive cabin air filters and found their replacement filter for my yr/make/model, but they did not provide any installation instructions! Video was excellent. I used a Purolator Cabin Filter C35519, from Advance Auto Parts. Cost is $20.99. The first filter from Purolator was a bit too long, but 2nd one worked fine. Yet the first one could have been cut with a razor blade to fit. Also Honda had broken the slide connection off located on the left side. It didn't hurt the operation or function of the clove compartment.
