In this video I explain and show how to remove the intake manifold on your fifth generation Honda prelude. I explain and show every step of how to remove the intake manifold and other parts throughout the video. The stock intake on the fifth generation Honda prelude is a two piece design where the intake runners are one piece and the plenum(the part you see at the top) is the other. The most difficult of removing the intake are the nuts that hold the intake to the cylinder head. There are four nuts on the top part of the intake that bolt it to the cylinder head and there are five on the bottom part. The five on the bottom are going to be very difficult to remove because you have to access them form the bottom of the car which means that you have to raise the car with a lift or jack stands to have access to them. I recommend to start by trying to remove the bottom nuts first because after that everything should be relatively easy like removing the four remaining nuts on the top of the intake and things like the throttle position sensor, intake hose, Idle air control valve, EGR valve, fuel rail, disconnecting injectors, and many other small but delicate and time consuming things.
