I am very pleased to have had the opportunity to drive this lovely motor. An old car that you can effectively give a good kicking!

An easy one when I already know I like it 😄

This is a very lovely thing. It looks so delicate and elegant. Even my wife, who claims to not care about cars but knows what she doesn’t like and doesn’t mind sharing, thinks this is ‘ok’. There is no higher praise than this. When my bitcoin finally takes off I shall buy a unit to fill with old cars and there will be a whole section dedicated to late 80s Hondas. It’s my niece’s birthday today, she is 8 and later on I’ve been invited to what has been described as ‘a proper girlie birthday party with a photoshoot’. Now I’ve watched this I can go try on every single item of clothing I own before declaring I don’t have any clothes. My Prelude, the one after this, had warm seats too. No seat heating and I had working aircon yet the seats still felt deep and warm and just lovely.

No higher praise than 'okay'? That is an honour, Greg will be thrilled!

@@ProjectNigel The scale of approval, from least to greatest, goes from ‘No’, to No With An Explanation, then ‘Nah’, then a shake of the head, then no response, then ‘well if you like it’ and ending at the highest level, ‘it’s ok’. To give you an idea of how high this praise is, I would really like a Saab 900, an E30 3 Series or a Mk2 Golf GTi, all of which are straight No, so this Prelude has done extremely well. No trophy sadly.

I remember seeing Preludes of this era in one of three colours; the obligatory sun faded metallic red, black with chips and scratches pock marked all over, and of course, a shade of green somewhere between pea soup and snot!

Yeah, a while back then 😅

Had a couple of these given to me over the years....for scrap/(albeit RUST FREE scrap....). I've saved some Sheet Metal, but I DO HAVE LOTS of N.O.S. Honda Panels in Boxes for these. I even have several sets of N.O.S. Headlights and Motors tucked away. And I don't even like Hondas 👀😀...! Lovely Lil feature 👍🇬🇧🇯🇵.

Met Greg with this lovely 3rd Gen Prelude very recently at Mallory Park. I have the pre-facelift in white. Both cars got a lot of attention and it was great chatting and comparing the two. There are not many good examples of this car out there now, so its worth paying extra for a good one with no structural rust history.

I hope the sponsorship deal you negotiated with Mr Zog included a plentiful supply of Sex Wax - you do have a lot of sticks to slick after all. Great looking car and a very enjoyable review.

I had a mk4 and it's one of the best cars I've owned - I never really fancied a mk3 back then but nowadays, especially with styling modifications like this one has they're much more desirable. Popup headlights are always cool.

Love the zip tie hair keeper. Lovely, delicate styling on this car. The aspirational Japanese car to own when they came out in 1988, especially in yellow with the 4ws option. Peak Honda in my book. I have a white/blue ‘92 Mk. 4. Just an “s” automatic. Not as pretty and they really cheapened the interior a bit. I guess as a partial trade off for the silly digital fuel and temp guages that, 30 years on, work whenever they want to. It is still solid and rattle free with great seats and a comfortable driving position. I hate that it lost the lovely Acura Legend coupe style shift handle for the big clunky unit out of an Accord. My a/c still works on the original R12. I live in a fairly large city in the south and I have seen only 1 other example on the road. The stock exhaust is quiet but has a little troatiness when you step on it. Even with stock suspension these cars are a little bouncy, especially in the rear. Great video. It was good fun to watch.

That's a handsome car and no mistake! Very good condition indeed too. The four wheel steering is great although I'd worry a bit about the complexity and maintenance. I thought It did come across a bit noisy even on video! 🔊 I did laugh at the timing of closing the boot with a chunky thunk in the midst of describing yourself also as 'chunky!' 😁

I think the steering is one of those well engineered things that don't often go wrong 🙂

That's good as it could be a bit awkward if it became stuck at a peculiar angle 🤔

As much fun watching as you seemed to have partaking ... I would have been a little more irresponsible and burnt of the little white shoe box sooner... 😈
