As somebody who lives in southern Arizona and very desperately wants a bike to the point of I JUST got a new job that pays better so I can acquire my rebal or shadow. And seeing this is super cool and just gets me more hyped

It's a great bike, it's not the fastest but it has enough power. I definitely want an 1100 but since there's none available around me I'm happy with my 500. The gas mileage is pretty good on it too so great commuter for me.

Happy for you to have some good weather to get out there. It's still cold and crappy where I'm at, save a couple days so far this year (which I've taken full advantage of).

Love it, thats my bike here in Cali. I just started riding I am 5’11 and the ergonomics work for me. Just like you would like to get an 1100 at some point which is slightly bigger and prob a better fit. I like to see a vid which shows the speedometer clearly as you go through the shifting sequence. I don’t think I am doing it right lol.

Thanks for the comment! Like a video maxing out all of the gears? I personally just shift by ear when the engine is reving high. There was a comment on my other video saying I could stay in 2nd for quick stops at a stop signs but personally I don't like the feeling of lugging at low speeds in 2nd. For shifting sequence I think it's on the preference of your style? Some people like to shift early which I do when my wife is riding passenger so she's comfy. Regularly my rule of thumb is to shift every 12-15 mph. At higher speeds I drop a gear to get passing power. I hope that gives you some insight, I'm not a pro or anything.

Those 2 "hot rod hooligans" show no respect for your MC's size nor it's limitation. They made you "ride THEIR ride". Leave those fools in the dust "of their own foolishness". They are NOT a good influence to your rider's skills. New rider myself and I'm 57 years old, all I see are immature riders who "think" they're invincible to the harm of wreckless riding. Stay away from them starting ASAP! Doug🏍️😵

Thanks for your concern. At the end of the day I did ride my own ride and took it as a learning experience and enjoyed it. It's very tempting to get a bigger CC bike but dam the gas mileage for the 500 is great and it literally can do everything I need.

Get a Slipstreamer Hellfire windshield and make you ride way more comfortable~! That is why I don't like riding with others that speed all the time. The Rebel shines as a laid back take it easy cruiser bike IMHO. My Brother in law has a crotch Rocket and he just ended his truck driving career by riding the way the two in front of your ride are showing off. Two tickets and they fired him. Looks like small egos at work to me.

Nice Sunday ride. Is the seat comfortable for a long ride ( 2 to 3 hours or 100 plus kilometers ride ). Thank you.

I'm going to say no, definitely want to take a break after an hour. This the stock SE seat.

This is the bike I'm looking at as a beginner. I'm on the shorter side how's the ergonomics? Would a shorter rider have to reach more foward to hold the bars? I'm 5'5

Im sure it'll be a great fit for you. Unless you have extremely short arms you'll be okay

It has a different seat, fork covers, and headlight cowl out of the factory. Mainly cosmetic stuff. It's $500 more MSRP.

It's real cool but can be tough on windy days but I got a windshield I take on and off depending on how the day looks.

Those 2 sport bikes are trying real hard to make you "ride THEIR ride" and to make you look like a novice "nit-wit" . Drop those clods from your circle of riding buds QUICK! They have no respect for your skill level!

I appreciate the thought. They are friends of my friends but I didn't feel that vibe. They rode their ride and I did the same. We had lunch at the bar and grill at the lake and it was a enjoyable time. If they would of left me in the dust the entire time I woulda definitely felt a type of way but that wasn't the case.
