I forget sometimes just how timeless the body lines of the S2k are.
@6000pounds
@6000pounds 4 жыл бұрын
I don't think the body lines are that epic. One thing honda does is get simplicity well. Like the Ek civics and the s2000. They don't have a million body lines like a new supra. The simpler your body lines are the easier it is to make aftermarket aero as well. The s2000 does not look like a folded origami like the new civic type R.

DaDa啊達啦 Although you might be right about that, you missed the idea. The original NSX was a driver's car. It felt rewarding and precise. Most of all, it felt special. Back then, the S2K and the NSX were special because of their performance and the sense of fun the car offered to the driver. Still to this day, people still prefer the older NSX.
@gwot
@gwot 4 жыл бұрын
@@michaelpan7737 ah, I get what you mean and I totally agree. But that wasn't Honda's idea with the new NSX, so they didn't botch it in my books. The new NSX was just a showcase of the newest technology, and it did just that.

Really is an amazing car. I’ve had my S2000 for almost 18 years and have over 248k on the odometer. Still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Entire time owning this car I have only had to replace two clutches, two master cylinders and replaced the shocks with Koni Yellows. I have been everything but gentle with this car. These JDM’s truly marked the end of an Era when cars were fun, fast, reliable, and you had to pay attention to what you were doing or they would bite you. They need to bring them back in their true form and not with all the federal mandate crap cars today have that make them boring to drive.

Yeah many cars you are allowed to go inside even on stage ones will let you after the presentation sometimes. If the car was that special that they didn't want anyone to touch it they would've put it on a platform or like previously stated put some velvet rope around it. The only thing I found odd is most manufacturers will remove the shift knob because of how often they get stolen but I guess honda is confident nobody will snatch it from them lol.

You can sit IN the cars. But I don't think they'd like you sitting ON the cars.

Man I remember the international car show in my city when I was a kid. In 1990 you could sit in Porsches, Ferraris, Lambo. I have pictures of little me sitting in them and almost anything else you wanted. No need to ask or be assisted. Have a look at will.

It really is awesome that the Honda S2000 is still relevant decades later. I would like an aftermarket face lift that reintroduces a smile to the front grill instead of the Toyota GT86 style frown. It’s the reason why I prefer the Subaru BRZ way more than the Scion FRS and Fiat Spider.

It’s looking great 👍🏽 it definitely still looks really modern and super interesting the idea how car sizes are more appropriate in different places.

Amazing car. Definitely a future classic. If they sold this today though, they should bump up the power to around 280-300hp. Otherwise, it’s perfect.

Hi Albo, great to see the S2000. Still a nice car. By the way, dont underestimate the knowlage of young People about old media, my Son is actually collecting MC´s and Vinyl LP´s - and his Friends do so too! Despite that they are absolutely in modern media every day, so it is possibly for the feeling to have the music physically in their hands...
