I love my 1800c. My favorite part is when riding 2-up it still never lacks for power/torque. It really is a beast. My least favorite thing is that its not a 6 speed and it needs to be.

I want one of those engines for a 2 stroke conversion project. there a lot of room on those jugs to cut ports into them, i am thinking of using my yz-250 port pattern and domed billet aluminum heads and get rid of the ugly valve-train. Big harley v-wins make for a nice 2 stroke conversion also. something like this:kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iL1_YLSnz8DVm4U.html. Thats a Honda GX converted to a uniflow 2 stroke.

Great bike. I have an 02, 38,000 miles, Hypercharger , Power Commander and V& H exhausts. Very few problems, except Honda's rear wheel bearings are shit, replaced em twice until my shop recommended aftermarket bearings. Besides that, had the water pump crap out once, but that's it.

The Vance and Hines sound just dandy on this bike with a set of quite baffles installed. Takes the "tinny" sound out of it and gives it a deeper tone. It'll never sound like a Harley Davidson if that's what you're after....so I guess you'll just have to settle for its other attributes, like smoother, more powerful, more technologically advanced, more fuel efficient, better built, longer lasting, etc

I have a 2006 VTX1800F, and I put a Bridgestone 215/45RF18 on it. Took a little bit of work to get it on the rim, but well worth the effort. Looks and rides great !

It's a trade off for way better brakes, fuel injection and power. I was surprised the 1800 was only 50 lbs heavier than the 1300. I went with the 1800 F. Sounds mechanical, goes like hell.😎

Great video of the 1800 VTX. By the way; white lining is NOT a good thing to do! Splitting traffic requires that auto drivers see you and know what you want to do; bad assumption!

They run best with BuB pipes and Power Commander 1 put the open air breather on them 180 rear tire is the biggest you can put on the stock rear end without modefing the Axel cover.

That lane splitting at the end is an example of a horrific decision on a bike not suited for that behavior, however...If you definitely want to fk your bike up, and possible yourself, it's a great choice. There's a time for that, and a situation where it's fine, that was *not* one of those.
