Crazy difference. Before, you could hear more of the timing chain. After, sweet, sweet grunty exhaust. Nice! I’d say money well spent. Cheers, dude.

I did the exact same thing but, after I bought a factory replacement one in case it came out wrong. I also remove the snap in piece on top of the airbox to change it from three small openings to one larger one. I had also put a 115 main jet in. Now I just installed a complete CRF230 exhaust system and the spark plug looks like it did stock which to me was slightly lean so I think I will bump up to a 120 main. I definitely feel some nice torque down low and will be putting on my 16 tooth front this weekend to see how that feels. This bike is so fun to ride and I'm 61 riding 45+ years now, lol.

Any modifications needed for the Crf230 exhaust? And was it the CRF230F or L?

I like it... I cut just my screen section off, leaving the pipe. Im still getting the flow, just a little more melow sound.

That sounds pretty good 👍, does doing this mess with mpg at all or air/fuel mix? ,just curious. Good before/after btw.

Havent noticed fuel mileage but honestly havent kept track. In terms of air/fuel yes its recommend to up a main jet to atleast 110. As the bikes supposedly runs lean from factory. We opened up airbox as well and bike runs happy with a 115 main jet. Appreciate it and thanks for watching! 😎🤘🏼

That's actually not bad! 👍 There isn't much out there exhaust wise for these bikes yet. I ordered a $50 slip on from Amazon and took it up to my local muffler shop and had them cut the old muffler off and weld the new one on. Im happy with it so far 💯

Sadly I never found a good place to ride around close. We took ours to white sulfur trails in Kentucky. Congrats on the new bike 😎😎

You deleted the spark arrester. Is this a concern when you are off road?

Dads 6’5” 280Lb hes happy with it definitely drop to a 16 tooth front sprocket thats best mod to help low in power.15tooth for offroad use. Its definitely not a powerful bike by any means but super fun for the money. Perfect for someone to scoot around on and do little on off road action. If you got any other questions let me know!
