Honda Z50R Budget Restoration | Transforming a FORGOTTEN Honda Mini Bike

We restore Ike's Honda Z50R while he's out for his Honduki injury. This classic Honda Z50R was bought as a chassis- it's powered by a 125cc clone, and came with a painted frame, fenders, and a seat. In today's episode, we install new whees and tires, a new exhaust, and get the 125cc Lifan clone running.

If you use super glue put baking soda on it… it dries like a plastic… super glue was originally made to repair airplane wing you get a crack put super glue in it and baking soda and its good

I miss my little 1979 Honda Z50R! It was easily one of my favorite bikes that I’ve ever owned. Fully restored it, rode it through crazy fields/forests & learned to wheelie on it. That thing was a beast!

As someone that has revived more old bikes than I can remember...here's a tip for ya. When you get her fired up and you're dialing in the carbs ...put a couple of inch's of vacuum tube on the mixture and idle screws to tune on the fly... Much easier than carrying a screw driver on the ride And congratulations Charles! Now we have confirmation your kickstand goes up!

I have so many memories of my old z50. From good times with friends riding till midnight with a flashlight duct taped to it...to the numerous flips over the handlebars. It's awesome of you guys doing this for ol Ike.

Had a z50 in the 80s as a kid, beat the absolute crap out of that little bike and it just kept on running, This build is perfect, the power needed to pull adult me around but still in that small fun factor, love it!

I had a 91 Z50 bought new for me as a kid. It was the greatest gift I ever received to this day. It was stolen a few years later and it broke my heart. Love seeing these bikes being brought back to life.

Congratulations Charles! Great time to ask the boss for a raise! Nice bike guys! I took apart a predator 79cc today and removed the governor! I'll start putting it back together tomorrow, nothing crazy, 18 lb valve springs, port and polish, 20mm slide carb, going on an e-zip 500 frame ive modified!

I had a friend's little brother that had one of those I believe it was in the early '80s and yes it's a three speed. All the kids rode that more than my friend's little brother did and had a blast. It's a fun bike.

congrats charles! being a dad is SOOOO fun! i play D&D with my older kids and their friends, and we're putting together a moped for my oldest. he's autistic and really cant handle a car, but he rides his bike all over, so we're gonna do a moped for him. easy to handle, and cheap to run
