An absolute minter. A bit of work went into that one.

I have a beat up one in pieces right now that I am slowly working on.

my 1979 cx500 looks just like this with a little bit of rust thrown in. they are a very dependable cool bike.

I had one just like that maroon custom. Water pump impeller spun on the shaft and cooked the original engine soon after i bought it. Paid the exact same amount $375 for a cycle salvage engine as the bike cost me to buy.

Let the engine warm up a bit before revving it....advice lost on the multitude so it seems.... Nice bike otherwise - plan to scoop one up for a song and rebuild it (original state) as a winter project....

@MrBladecx, he used a silver aerosol spray & masked off the rest of the engine. The sunny day we had also made it look good too.

Sounds a bit rough mechanically, and I don't like that motif on the tank, otherwise a nice tidy bike.

@ McKJudo he didn't remove the baffles from the muffler new silencers from standard CX.

Did he remove the baffles from the mufflers? I am in the middle of the same restore.
