The Honda HA-420 Hondajet SP-CHE is seen taking-off at Bern in Switzerland on a windy day (around 15 knots). The aircraft was built in 2017 and is operated by Jet Story, a Polish business jet airline based at Warsaw. The light business jet is equipped with two powerful GE Honda HF120 engines. Thanks to those wing-mounted engines, it is much quieter in the cabin and also results in significantly less vibration. It must be a super cool flight experience!

Thank you, Simon! The Citation X is definitely the icing on the cake :) The design of the HondaJet is a bit awkward but the wing-mounted engines have some great advantages: It is quieter in the cabin and there are significantly fewer vibrations. It must be a super smooth flight experience :)

Matt my good friend, great video of 1 of my favorite vlj's since they first came on the market, the elite series has some really nice upgrade interiors/liveries also, the Japanese lists the colors available here(very much like we do in U.S), but I think only for ones marketed/sold in the U.S., ie: in Canada they call their green livery just green, here they call it " Royal Emerald Green", I guess the marketing department did their homework very well, lol, Honda has a little larger jet in the works called the Encore( I think) 2600, more cabin space, nautical range, etc..., but I have not found out if it will be a 1 or 2 pilot mandate/option for flight, I'm guessing 2, the vlj has the option of 1 pilot flight, God Bless You and D from T and I, btw Matt, Honda does the same thing with all their automobiles here, if you purchased an all white one the color may be Pearl White, Cream White, Ivory, etc...all car manufacturers whether foreign or domestic use that type of descriptive color here, btw, the jet color in this video is specified by Honda as "Heather Gray Metallic", which is actually a new name for me, lol

Hi Steve, thank you for your interesting information about the HondaJet in the US. It is really great to hear about the colours. Yes, the marketing department seems to have done a good job. Yes there is a concept for a larger Hondajet called the HondaJet 2600. It is intended for testing the market to assess demand before deciding to launch the program. But I do hope the best for the new HondaJet. Would love to spot it in the next few years once at Bern I hope. Wishing you all the best, God bless you and T!

The door ist between the last cockpit window and the 1st passenger window. So it is in the grey - white section, just have a close look and you will see a door handle there.

@@matthiashaenni I thought about it a bit and, to add to what you pointed to, the fuel system could be smaller and more simplified too, less powerful fuel pumps needed, shorter fuel lines etc. Straight from the wing tanks (it has wing tanks right ? Or just the center tank ?) to the engines (even though there is no gravity assisted fuel flow like in the liners)

Good thoughts. Yes, as far as I know, the tank is in the wings. Of course, that would make it even more efficient to connect the engines as close as possible to the tank.

Thanks to those wing-mounted engines, it is much quieter in the cabin and also results in significantly less vibration. It must be a super cool flight experience.
